Hamilton seem to be on that slippery slope we were on in 2005. Directors wanting out, wanting their investments back and the stadium in their hippers as a contingency.

I’ve not done a calculation but at a glance their home attendances seem to average just over 1000. This, with some players still on SPL wages must be getting them into more bother.

It would be a shame to see him go under, their fans need a “reclaim the Rovers” type campaign it would seem. You wonder if the likes of McDonald that left us to go there knew this before going or we’re just offered a job closer to home with a wee raise factored in. We might see their some of their higher earners being let go for free in January but then they might not want the wage cut.

Anyway, think we can count ourselves lucky with our current BoD. Long may it continue.

Aye that’s the one. Seems like a carbon copy of he situation we were in before he started threatening selling the ground for property development.

Looking for foreign investment now which I just can’t see. Not as if they’re a sleeping giant. They’ve been pinching way above their weight for years and on crowd alone, are probably a lower championship/L1 side.

Don’t fancy their chances right now.

The late great Accies fan, Fergie, will be cursing and swearing in his grave at the state of his club. No sympathy for that carpetbagger McGowan but it's horrid for the players and fans

Aye Fergie, that's a blast from the past. He was a belter.

I recall the time the carpet fitter stood in front of the South Stand with a mic to address the fans. Didnt go down well, disaster.

How on earth can the SFA allow McGowan and his ilk to control a football club is beyond belief

I'm thinking exactly the same thing.
Their 'fit and proper person' criteria is a sick joke.

You have brutal dictators from the Middle East buying EPL clubs and they pass the fit and proper persons test when the only thing fit and proper is the size of their bank balance.

Unfortunately it's a money game now, owners, directors, TV companies, hedge funds, sponsors and players, nobody but the supporters really give a damn about the clubs anymore.
It's disgusting frankly, £500,000 a week for some to kick a ball around, how much good could communities do if they even got that a year?

It all started away back in 1963 when George Eastham, Jimmy Hill and other players at that time managed to get the maximum wage limit of £20 lifted and as the decades have passed so earnings have rocketed.
This of course has been added to greatly with Sky tv deals coming into the game in the mid 1990's.
