A hugely undeserved point but hey ho!😊
Anything is better than nothing. Big pity Arbroath equalised in added on time. Results elsewhere reasonably in our favour. Pars in deep doo doo!
And finally....a huge thanks to Jamie MacD for "keeping" us in the game😀 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

I'll happily take a point and run.
Thought when we equalised we might kick on, but Queens the more likely towards the end.
Other than not finishing the chance in the first half, I thought Ethan Ross was very good, but Jamie MacDonald Man of the Match by a distance. _________________ Dougie Hill

Dodged a bullet and favourable results elsewhere = good.
Performance = Poor
Disjointed, cumbersome… could and probably should have been three down before we scored.
NEED additions in January if we have any aspirations of promotion, squad is just too thin |

I'll go along with that, also agreeing with your earlier point about the game crying out for Matthews far earlier - like, from the start, I'd have said! I would also add Connolly and Musonda to those gaining pass marks, but it really was an off-day for more than half of them.
Maybe the conditions, whether wind or inadequate surface, or both. But we've got the quality to rise above challenges like that.
Queens were no more than a typical Championship side, but we really couldn't get to grips. We'll need better at Hamilton next week, for sure.
Besides the 3-4 positive performances, we have to keep smiling as we've not lost ground on any leaders, closed a point on Killie, and extended our unbeaten run |

Aye, it's amazing that we've only won one of our last four, yet we're closer to the top of the league than at any stage since the opening day of the season. _________________ Dougie Hill

It has been shown in the past, but this was another example: The Rovers are a better, more balanced team when Ross Matthews plays.
JMcG may have felt it that no-one deserved to be dropped to allow Rossco to return, but it wasn't the right mix in midfield, especially away from SP.
Good to see Frankie Musonda, but where does he fit into the team on a more regular basis?
Jamie MacDonald earned us our point today. |

That stat SG shows that we have perhaps missed a great opportunity to go top.
I'd have a taken a point before the start. QotS seem to have a it of an Indian sign over us in recent years. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Thought the first half we were as poor as I,ve seen us this season.Defence at 6s and 7s and we offered very little going forward.Fortunately we had McDonald behind the defence and that along with poor finishing from Queens we kept it all square at half time
Second half we were better but not difficult after the 1st half.We lost a poor goal but thankfully Connelly pulled one out the bag to get us what for long spell looked unlikely
Too many underperformed and we have to be thankful to McDonald especially first half to have a point in the hamper on the bus back to the Kingdom
Ps
Pitch was awful along with Ref Clancy _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

Agree with most others.
We had had a settled back four for a while, when we lost 1of them they still played well, but today there were 2 “ others” and they did not appear to Gel.
Coulda/shoulda been at least 3 if not 4 down in the first 15/20 minutes. Their attempts were all too close to the keeper which allowed Mc Donald to get to them.
Tumilty is good going forward but, imo, not so quick getting back.
Better second half, as is usual in that we usually get a good 45 mins out of this team.
Truth be told though, over the piece, QOS will be peeved they didn’t win. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

Only going by the updates today but i'll take that point, similar to the game at Starks earlier in the season, the home team battered on the door and didn't come away with what they deserved. This was a game that probably needed Matthews on from the start to give a bit more mobility and stability in front of the defence from the start.
We're 3 points off the top after the results today and laughably, the Pars are further adrift at the bottom |

I suppose playing three central defenders in a back four is far from ideal, especially Musonda playing his first game of the season at left back. Therefore, i will happily take a point, even better that all the results went our way.
I'm sure i wasn't the only Rovers fan having a good laugh at the result of the basement battle too. |
