Dont see Arbroaths win as remarkable, didnt think Inverness were any special against us on Saturday |
OK. Maybe not remarkable but I definitely didn't see it coming to be honest. Helps certainly to tighten things up at the top. You're right though about the embarrassment.😂 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Lucky to get a point as we were awful for most of the game. Connolly and Ross did nothing all night, passing way too slack all game and slow build up from the back. Our night was summed up by MacDonald letting a ball slide through his legs and out for a corner.
Our "fans" on the pitch at the goal are a disgrace too. Some of them kids, some grown men, embarrassing.

Tight league
Any team can beat anyone in this division
Oh wait,thats not strictly true
Dont think we were lucky at all
Its terrible to see our supporters celebrate a 88th minute equaliser against our local rivals _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

There is a difference between celebrating and invading the pitch though, does it need explanation? Anyone who thinks it's acceptable is a clown and should be ejected from the game.[/b] |

Its an emotional game
Just salvaged a point away in a local derby .I think the fans can be excused a tad over exuberance and little difference to how there fans celebrated _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME

An 88th minute equaliser against our rivals and folk getting salty at a few fans running on the trackside. No issues with it all and fair enjoyed getting it up that lot. |

Football is a funny old game. They are at the bottom and their fans seem disappointed with a draw against a team at the top where as we seem quite satisfied with a draw against the basement boys. Now a draw was a fair result but it does pose the question, are we not as good as we think or Dunfermline not as bad as we thought?
Hindsight is a wonderful thing but I don't think playing Ross worked. The lad needs space to run into and Dunfermline gave no space to anyone. Maybe playing BRS, keeping the middle compact and letting Tait work closer to Poplatnik would have fared better.
Kinda got caught on the break for their goal and someone, maybe Spencer? should have taken one for the team but fair play to the scorer, it was a quality strike, one of the few moments of class in the match.
In defence thought Lang and Berra looked like they had been playing all season so that's a good sign.
Ended the night a point closer to the top and most teams have found it difficult to break down Dunfermline so not overly disappointed with a point. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

I've noticed that they are late in starting most games now for whatever reason (s). Sometimes up to quarter of an hour into the game. |
I'll look into it. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

It was probably a combination of players missing, the conditions and playing for 45 minutes a man short on Saturday that contributed to us being well below our best tonight.
However, credit to them for digging out a point so late on.
Dunfermline were certainly no better - I'm sure their goal, for as good as strike as it was, was their only shot on target.
As said above though, we're too easily caught on the counter attack. We don't want players booked unnecessarily, but their centre half cynically took out Zanatta early on to stop an attack and there are times where you just have to do that.
Also, be interesting to see the shout for a penalty we had when Connolly went down in the second half. _________________ Dougie Hill

Poor game all round, their goal (from where I was sitting) looked top drawer but for all we were average, they didn’t threaten our goal. We had one or two near things, a blocked effort that looked to be going in, a Connolly free kick that was close… draw certainly fair, neither deserved to win.
Young boys made a good noise and I don’t begrudge a handful running trackside/goading the away fans, no malice and in a way good to see some passion! |

Having seen the highlights I was maybe a bit harsh on us. Yeah we've got caught a little bit short in midfield for their goal but nobody really had a chance to foul one of their players and we still had plenty of players back. The shot from Thomas top drawer and can't really do too much about that.
Spencer struck his shot well and it was well placed but I'd be a little disappointed in McDonald if he allowed that effort past him. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

I was sitting three rows back and that was a horrible night for football. Swirling wind which didn't appear to favour either team greatly. Surface looked good but was cutting up easily making a bobbly surface and difficult at times to control and pass.
As mentioned above surprised to see Ross start ahead of RBS. I think we might have benefitted more from a bit of steel in the middle allowing Tait more freedom to get forward. Ross would have been a great later sub to sharpen things up a bit like the young lad Mitchell who was highly effective when brought on.
It looked like an error of which there were plenty for both sides or a mark of brilliance would settle the tie. That's how it appeared when Thomas scored a fantastic strike.
Fair play though we kept plugging away and Spencer's strike brought the scenes of bedlam that felt like a winner given how it looked the game would play out.
All in not a bad nights work for top four aspirations and a tilt at the title isn't yet lost. |

Watched live on pars telly. I liked the commentary, more descriptive than most and little bias.
Camara work was often too zoomed in imo, but that seems to be a common thread.
Having listened to JM interview it appears the weather had a fair affect on the game, admittedly I missed that whilst watching.
Methinks a draw was probably a fair result although I am of the opinion that it WAS a penalty for us, the replay only enforced my opinion on that.
Ref was 1 of the best we have had imo. There was some petulant behaviour which was dealt with quite well.
Thought, certainly a HUGE improvement on saturdays Referee.
Their goal was a peach, he actually placed it, NOT simply leathering the ball. Ours goal strike mibbeez not as classy, but was drilled well.
Decent result in the end.
Pars certainly less happy than us methinks. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

Pretty much spot on Cuparman plus the weird fact that we are closer to the top team by a point from before the game.🥴

Really, a last minute goal to salvage a draw in a derby game and some fans spill on to the pitch in celebration and there a disgrace, absolute nonsense.
Good point from the team last night, I had the dread that we would give them there first win after our injuries but we came good at the end. _________________ We dont need no stinking badges |
