If the covid restrictions do not ease off, will it make you reconsider attending in person?

Just got the e-mail about the ticketing for the Queens park game.

Wow, the conditions for the game are horrendous. Turn up early, turn up in your group, no food, don't move around, you will be shown to your seat etc.

I assume the club has no choice, (I am not criticising them), these are the covid protocols.

But if this is the match day experience for the full season are fans really going to bother?

Hopefully these will slacken off and we can get back to attending matches without it being like attending the Opera.

Yeah, it was fairly strange at the Stranraer game until you got to your seat, or grouping of seats and then it was fairly normal. Didn't have anyone show us to our seats, just suggest the best area to go for a group of 4 people in our "bubble".

Hopefully it does ease off because usually we go in a larger group, i'm fine with the lack of food though, I can easily do with less opportunity to buy a pie in my life Laughing

I quite like staying safe.

With significant milestone reviews expected mid July and early August I'd imagine there will be a considerable relaxation in guidelines and indeed numbers attending sporting events.

That said I was at the Stranraer game and considering all the other restrictions we've had to endure in our lives it was pretty painless.

Hasn't Leitch said he expects grounds back to full capacity at some point in August?

Personally the quicker they get everything back to normal/open the better and I'll have no qualms about attending games maskless and not socially distancing. If people choose not to attend because they are still worried then that's up to them but it's time people are given the choice to risk assess themselves on whether attending the football is of deterimental risk to their health - we've been doing that weekly pre-covid mind you.

There are 104 neighbourhoods in Fife; 100 of them are infected to varying degrees. This has some way to go.

I’ve wondered how the numbers would rack up with regard to cases and the ages of those testing positive.
Yesterday’s Courier carried an interesting article regarding Scotland fans in attendance during the Euros.

I never found the set up last Saturday a hardship in any way.

It was great being back in the ground again and I can't wait for this Saturday.

If this is what it takes to be allowed back into the ground, it's absolutely fine by me.

Good also to see the club supplying complimentary bottles of water for the supporters health and comfort.
Nice gesture which I’m surprised hasn’t been mentioned in previous posts.

TBF Pretty farcical that food/drink kiosks are not open

Alternatviely allow supporters to bring in their own snacks and drinks/water

Indeed.
And also a free programme (although donations are very welcome).

That was a great gesture by the club, a bottle of water and a free programme.

I did give a donation and I hope most fans did.

I didn't have a problem with the way the Stranraer game was organised, from getting the ticket, meeting the security team and the lads with the programmes and bottles of water, it was well done.

Bring it on!

Common sense approach IMO, also everyone leaves together at the end of the game, so why staggered entry times?, seems a bit daft, the quicker these restrictions are binned by the government for what is an outdoor event the better

It actually pretty simple, you are a responsible adult who can choose when to leave, relatively speaking. Upon entry, there are delays of indeterminate nature (ticket scans, seat allocation, etc) so it makes sense to stagger the flow of persons to choke points (entries). Exiting, there are no such delays and people can much more easily self-distance, and can chose to wait a lfew minutes to depart as well, plus they can pick from multiple routes based upon others waiting or leaving.

Don't bank on it.
