Perfect timing, not. You think you've seen it all at Stark's Park over the years, but i don't think this situation has happened before. If there is a positive , it might free up some money as i'm sure CB would be on a high salary. |

I suspect he’s more injured than we know. Never looked comfortable after the first couple of matches. |

Something about this doesn't add up!!
Could there not have been a private agreement that he will retire but play for the next month? If funds are the problem , then new players could been signed and bedded in.
This way, we are in trouble from Saturday onwards.
It doesn't make sense. I could speculate but will desist.
Maybe as Tx says he's injured, but why not explain that aspect? |

Something not right here. I get him retiring from playing, should of done it at the end of last season, but the timing of it now??
To chuck the coaching side of things I don't get. If it's personal issues then that's his business but watch this space, would not be shocked of he rocks up at hearts or falkirk in the not to distant future.
Apparently recently sold his home in Edinburgh and now settled with family in Fife. Something clearly not right. |

Few months ago we had Berra, Bene, Lang, Musonda and Mackay to choose from….To be left with zero recognised central defenders a few days before season starts is a shambles |

Murray must have a huge hat that he can pull some big rabbits out of now. I suspect Berra was waiting for replacements to be signed before the decision was announced.
I expect the next news story on the website will be the signing of at least 2 new centre backs and it had better be today! _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

With one, possibly 2 training sessions before they play as a team. Not great prep for the new season. |

Not sure if there are deeper rumblings going on in the background to this, but CB has done what he feels is right for him and i wish him well.
We are left in a rather fragile state going into league action, i'm hopeful that we can get a formation on the park come saturday to get a positive result, but any signing news would be a relief at this point.
my glass remains half full, but it is looking emptier by the day! |

On the plus side, it frees up what I’m guessing is a sizeable chunk of money. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |
