We can't look much further than the first game, since ,if we don't take care of that ,there will be no second game.
Ukraine drew twice with France in the Group matches, but, like Scotland, seem vulnerable when they are favourites!
Avoiding Poland is the obvious plus.
Only comment on the possible second game is that being away is the obvious minus, and a big minus at that.

Wales through to the play off game v Scotland or Ukraine if that goes ahead in June.
Scotland sucker punched in last minute of added on time with controversial Polish penalty award.

Steve Clarke's men taking a leaf out of the Rovers book of "How to collapse when leading 2-0"🤫
In fairness Austria were a decent team on the night and Craig Gordon kept Scotland in it. There were times though when Scotland were excellent going forward too. An entertaining match for a friendly.

I really do hope that we get through the playoffs with that draw. Up until the European play off went into Group B it was on paper the easiest with England top seed. Any of the three possible teams in the European playoffs might just rock the boat.🤞

Likely that Austria will hammer a number past Scotland in the next game. At least that'll put everyone out of their misery regarding qualifying for another World Cup.
One word to sum up tonight's game. Brutal.
And folk wonder why I long gave up interest in Scotland. Not just tonight but many games in the past have shown how badly we have regressed in comparison to many other nations and is symptomatic of the game in general in this country.

Take it you have gained an interest again?!

Marginal. Fair bit to go to be honest.😌

Apparently they've been out of the country along with others in the national squad training and playing friendly matches on a regular basis in Turkey. And have been for a wee while.
Don't know how fit they'll be but they are all together as a group, and will be, right up to the game. All the bonding, especially in the horrendous circumstances for Ukrainians is maybe likely to help hone their not inconsiderable skills which are usually pretty decent at the best of times.
