But when you take into account that half of the teams have to play 10 games and the others only play 8 then there's 25% more chance / time for those 6 team group team's players to pick up bookings.
Add in the two play-off games and that makes 12 games for a quarter of the sides finishing runners up to negotiate without players transgressing more than once.
Top 5 groups have a slight advantage here but surely it would be better if they reset the clock for the play offs. |
Sweden have 16 players on yellows. The cards should be reset after the group games. |

All played a great game, tough to single any out but would go with Adams or McGinn.
No suspensions…if we are lucky and don’t have much injuries come March then we will be a tough nut to crack for any of the potential opponents..
Which are…
Austria
North Macedonia
One of Finland/Ukraine
Poland pretty likely to be in there
Maybe Wales, maybe Czech Rep
Probably Turkey (but still a chance of Holland or Norway)
Play off Final (if we make it) could be a much bigger problem..but let’s not worry about that just now! |

Ally would be so much better if he just stopped agreeing with himself.
"It really is" gets very tiresome after 20 mins.
Brilliant performance all round from Scotland, Adams was quality, the rest were absolutely solid throughout. Denmark made some changes but were still a formidable side that Scotland matched at every step. Deserved win |

A while ago Craig Gordon was recovering from an injury and Grant Murray offered him training at Starks Park which he declined, he could have been second top of the Championship today. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Che Adams never stopped pressing until he got his goal!
There is a real momentum in this group - confidence and some really good players, who are starting to gel! |

No Mctomminay and no damn Dykes tells you a story, what a performance has this team finally woken up after all these years in slumber |

Isn't it a great time to be a Scotland supporter? From all the years in the North Stand in a half empty stadium, back to a packed, energised Hampden.
March seems a long way off ,but it will come round and, with it, the buzz.
As I understand it,this is how the draw will be conducted ie we will know on Friday 26th November ,three things:
Who we play at Hampden in the first game; Which of two sides we will meet if we get through ( either a seeded team or a team which has beaten a seeded team); and if our second game (if any) will be at Hampden or away :-
The six seeded sides will be allocated to semi-finals 1-6 in the order they are drawn, with the six unseeded teams completing the semi-finals in the order they are drawn.
Path A is formed by semi-finals 1 and 2, Path B is formed by semi-finals 3 and 4 and Path C is formed by semi-finals 5 and 6.
A further draw will also be conducted to determine which semi-final winners will play at home in the three Finals. |

At home I would fancy us against any of those, we are a better side since we played Czechs and Austria at Hampden recently in two relatively close encounters. Turkey and Ukraine don’t traditionally ‘travel’ well so home advantage would hopefully give us the added edge needed. Poland would probably be the toughest assignment with Macedonia probably the weakest of the six?
On the flip side of things though, all the unseeded teams want us or maybe Wales! |

Yes, Poland is a team to avoid! Robert Lewandowski in particular.
In 2015 at Hampden , my son and I were barely in the stadium when Lewandowski waltzed through our team and planted the ball in the net. Ritchie and Steven Fletcher scored fine goals and we seemed to be heading for victory but Lewandowski reacted quickest to a ball bouncing around the box in stoppage time to score the equaliser. No, I don't want them to be near Hampden in March!
Not expecting an easy game whomever we play but back us at home. Can't say I know much about North Macedonia ,except
that they shocked Germany at home, so would be very wary of them.
Turkey would make a change also, but would we be better against opponents we know? |

Good draw but bummer we got drawn away in final if we make it. Hopefully Wales v Scotland, winner takes all!
Portugal v Italy sounds a tasty prospect too! |
