For all his shortcomings, a dedicated, loyal and hard working player, who sometimes went forward and got goals, when nobody else could.
Congratulations Ian! |

It has all mostly been said, but I would like to add my congratulations to Iain Davidson on his 500th appearance for our club.
As many have said before, the rules have changed so much over the years, and Iain would probably have stayed on the pitch for hard tackles made today if we applied yesterday's rules.
Iain is a hard tackling defender who lives and breathes Rovers. His 500 appearance longevity is testament to this.
Many thanks for your service Iain.
From an older Rovers fan. |

My sentiments entirely Heilan Rover. A very good player on his game and wouldn't go amiss playing with the likes of Tommy Hislop or Alex Grey even Jim Dempsey all good solid tacklers. Well done Iain. |

Truly is a great achievement these days in football and more so with him being a local lad too. Would be great to make it to 500 starts. Hopefully gets a long service award from the Hall of Fame and a testimonial at some point when crowds are a thing again. Congratulations Davo. |

Aamar Anwar and Donald FIndlay
There is definitely more to this....
At the time i thought Davo was well out of order but didnt hear what was allegedly said but his reaction was a disgrace. This could be interesting as it develops. |

I agree. Findlay deals in high court cases. For him to be involved with this suggests there is quite a bit to this. Anwar is all about human rights. |

Makes you wonder what really happened. Could tonight be Davo's last game in a Rovers shirt? Sad that what will likely be his last few weeks with the club has all this hanging over it. |

On a footballing level, he was superb for most of the QotS game tonight.
2 misjudged moments early then thereafter pretty solid, his experience and ability read the game is on occasion quite massive. _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Gullan 7, Easton 7, Stanton 6, Vaughan 5, Dick 3, Akio 2, Brown 2, Connell 2, Goncalves 2, McBride 2, Frederiksen 1, McGill 1, Nolan 1, OG 1. |

You've got to think that if Davo / The Rovers are going to the expense of hiring Donald Findlay to defend him, they must think they have a reasonable case.
The biggest issue with this is that if both Davo and Todorov are found guilty of misconduct, or if both are cleared, we've had to do without a player for five games, whereas Inverness have had Todorov available throughout.
That Inverness statement is pure Scot Gardiner. _________________ Dougie Hill

Donald is obviously still practising then.
I thought he had retired to devote himself to his home town team.
I'm pretty sure Donald was born on the 17th March but he wasn't too enamoured with the date so decided his birthday was to be on the 12th July.
I'm not kidding either.🥴 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Seems Anwar is furious at the lenience of the ban handed to Kudela for whatever he said to Kamara.

Hope Davo doesn't get the backlash from all that! |

IIRC Clarence Seedorf want's players yellow carded if they cover their mouth with their hand to speak to people on the pitch.
Perish the thought that a player might just be being polite to cover a belch and end up getting a ban. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Backlash - interesting phrase when we are talking about punishment. I imagine the origins are just that - lashing the back!
Wonder what was really said and what led up to the incident to provoke such an outburst. Probably never know exactly what happened and in Scots law there might be an unproven verdict or is that just in trial by jury? Hope Davo is admonished and plays at least through the playoffs - I am confident 🤓 _________________ Here Wee go again |
