The man who did the Radio Scotland commentary on the Coca Cola Cup Final has sadly passed away.
I would argue that the radio commentary was even more dramatic than the TV.
One of the iconic radio voices when I was growing up, along with Bob Crampsey, David Francey and David Begg.
RIP. _________________ Dougie Hill

I'd heard about this yesterday on Radio Scotland when 'Chico' Young was summarising the weekend football from Cappielow.
Great names indeed SG.
I was privileged to once meet David Francey and share a late(ish) breakfast with him and his good lady.
What a man! Some absolutely great stories but just a pure gentleman. No airs or graces. Mrs Francey was exactly the same. Just a lovely couple.
They were spending a long weekend in the hotel over the road from the house and I was 'summoned' to put in an appearance, not knowing who it was I'd been summoned to see/meet.
Absolutely delighted it turned out to be "Up go the heads!" Mr Francey😊 _________________ Talk on! Talk on!
