New center half comes in at the start of next season on a 2 yr deal from Clyde.
23 yrs old, 2 footed (handy having 2 eh?) and 6'1" (1.86m), Not too experienced but has been at Birmingham, Rangers, Dumbarton, Pars, Stranraer and Clyde.
Welcome Tam.... when you arrive. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 18, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1,

Well, Iain Davidson can't go on for ever - although he'll probably think he's good for another couple of seasons at least!
If Tom Lang is the natural successor to Davo, then I'll be well-pleased - especially if we can keep the other four centre backs already on the club's books as well (although that's a tall order). Davo can then become the McGurn-esque emergency back-up |

Davo could perhaps do another year as part of a three CB formation, which is not a JMcG favorite right now. The favored two CB plus wing backs demands pace he no longer has, in my opinion. Davo is, I believe, doing his final year with us. He might be a brilliant signing for a League One or Two team, especially one with young backs needing development where he could play sparingly but add starch, much like SAndo did for us last year. I don’t see an obvious coaching role with the Rovers right now, but would be happy if it appeared.
From Clyde fans comments on the other channel, Lang would likely work well with Musonda, Tumilty and KMac... but if we lose Frankie, we might need another CB, as I don’t see Bene, Mendy or Davo as starters next year and McKay will be an unknown. That being said two of those first three as our backups wouldn’t be the end of the world, with Bene and (deep breath) Mendy the preferred pair, if McKay comes good. |

I'm sure Davo will be offered a coaching role with us and I agree used as an emergency back up. |

I dunno, if Kelty, East Fife or Cooden were to offer him a pt playing role he may fancy another season.....after all as they say "yer a lang time deid". _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 18, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

Took a nasty knock to the head on Saturday. Required stitches at the hospital due to 1 inch or so cut on side of head.
He's feeling fine now though. |

It's a knee injury, apparently getting keyhole surgery to repair cartilage damage.
Was reading it is not serious, however I would like to think he would be subject to a FULL medical prior to signing him. |

Bad news on his injury. Out for at least nine months!
Another ACL hits us.
Can only but wish him well and as speedy recovery as possible.
At least Lewis is there to give him support through all the trials and tribulations of rehab. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Good player but not irreplaceable also questionable re his long and therefore expensive injury.
Quite liked the big QP centre half who played last night v PT although they did ship 8 goals over two games - 🤔 not _________________ Here Wee go again |

Liked Fox too but as you said Wull he's part of a defence that has conceded plenty in the last 3 games.
Sorry to see Lang go as well, but as you said not irreplaceable.
I see we are being quoted as interested in Alloa and New Zealand youth cap George Stanger (son of rugby player Tony).
At 22 he could be a decent signing but I'd want to see an older head signed too as that was what I felt we were missing at the back last year. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 18, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |
