Watching Arsenal v Leeds cup game reminded me of being told back in the day when Revie's Leeds were the top team that he had links to the Rovers through his wife.

He also played for Leeds when they played the Rovers under our floodlights,also Billy Bremner played in that game as well.

I was aware of the game. I was at it!
4-1 to the Rovers.
Apparently on 10th October 1960. Thought it was in September.
Almost sixty years ago!
Don was player manager at the time and Bremner, Hunter and Jack Charlton all featured. Checked the date and the last bit out in our 'bible' as I wasn't sure if Revie actually played. He did. Wink
PS. Page 127 has the whole story and the teams together in a picture.
