So from McGlynns interview assuming that the reported £150,000 we received for Bowie is correct means that we received £115,000 for Tait

Wonder if the powers that be at our club will release something similar Rolling Eyes

It is really refreshing to read that from a chairman and something, in our alleged spirit of openness, I look forward to reading on our own website shortly.

Looks like the board got McGlynn to do it for them going by his post match interview.

Surprising interview from Mcglynn.

If I'd known I was buying a season ticket for a youth academy to benefit other clubs rather than a football club with ambition to progress .... I wouldn't have bothered.

Thanks John.

Pretty bullish from Sim, does seem like Tait wanted away though from that.

A number of things sound pretty dubious but I've little doubt what Sims stance was over this unlike the manager who seems to have all but brokered the deal.

Think John Sim's statement is first class and under circumstances John McGlynn's hands were tied, the player wanted to move, and we stuck by our guns for the loan till January.

Fair play from John Sim, be interesting to see who the players we were offered were. No indication that the funds will be put back into the playing squad though, let's hope so. Tait will have a good career ahead of him, hopefully that provides much needed funds to Rovers.

Be great if the funds could be reinvested into the playing squad but if the club can't afford it and the money is required to meet the running costs of the club then that's the way it has to be.

The comments about McGlynn sanctioning the deal without any fee are attributable to Tait's agent. Most likely another of these creatures who are bleeding football dry.

However, it's interesting to note Sim's comment about the club aiming to stay in the championship. That's a bit different to what we were hearing previously re promotion.
