They can have him back for a week until he serves his suspension, if they like.... |

As good as Anderson is in the third tier at premier league level his lack of pace would be severely and repeatedly exposed. He could make the step up to the championship, hopefully with us, but no further. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Shockingly harsh assessment!
15 straight years as a top flight player in a side often punching above their weight with top 6 finishes, cup wins, European appearances....
Think the guy deserves a bit more respect! He is 33, not 63! A good CB doesn’t need to be rapid on his feet |

Back to Franco's original question - could St Johnstone recall him if they wanted to or does the contract not permit that? |

I really can't see St Johnstone recalling him even if the option was there. Its not that I don't rate Anderson because I rate him highly as a player for us. His organisational talent and experience have helped us no end however he is playing in the third tier often against part time opposition. His knowledge of the game can more than make up for his lack of pace at this level. It can't benefit him as much in the top league against top players. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

I'd be interested to see if he can translate his on field leadership skills to that of a coach although I suspect he would probably go back to the saints to fulfil that role. _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

As I read the SFA rules, his suspension would be tolled until his next game at League One level, when he would serve a one game suspension...but I might be wrong. |

Ok,Castle, I see your point to a certain extent but like StarksBarmy think you are overly harsh and speed of thought can counter, to an extent, lack of physical speed.
I was thinking of the possibility of Sando in a back three at St J,playing with two younger CBs. Tommy Wright says Saints lack leadership on the park and Sando gives that.
[I admit Goodwillie exposed the lack of pace in all of Sando ,Davo and Bene ( who may have been watching out for himself, even subconsciously)]
But,as Neil M prompts, does anyone know the answer to my original question?
( Saints might have another CB out injured, longterm, well before the Window, who knows)
Ps
Red Zebra: Most likely Sando would return to ST J to cut his coaching teeth, all things being equal.
TxRover: Interesting, I didnt know that. |

Surely he'll be sent back to St Johnston for rehab etc? No point us keeping him for the time being. Harsh, I'd love to keep a fit SAndo but the club can't afford to IMO. _________________ RIP RONNIE |

That's a strange one, does that mean he's no longer at us ? I thought he was still under contract at St Johnstone. |

Thanks for the heads up, listened in to a quite enjoyable program. Very little Raith content, but plenty of fun, and much like my local sports radio station, considerably less than serious. Nice to hear that Raith is a possibility and would ”tick a box” since he lives in Dunfermline. |
