SFA to decide/ announce next Wednesday whether to extend their lease at Hampden when it lapses in 2020 or move to Murrayfield for national games and cup finals
Nobody interested? _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

Neither are ideal, I like Murrayfield as a location being the Capital and more ‘centrally’ based given the amount of people who attend from the North/East, transport links are probably better too but the Stadium itself? Great if full but how often will it be?... Also, the space down sides and especially behind goals are not good for spectator view OR atmosphere.
I’m pretty much 50/50 what they decide, still think they will stick with Hampden anyway |

Similarly and selfishly Murrayfield for location, easy transport.Never been in the stadium but looking at pics stands do seem to be a fair distance from pitch
Agree, think they,ll stick with Hampden _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |

I hate Hampden it is a complete *bleep* hole, built in the middle of an even bigger *bleep* hole also it is not in out countries capital, which is where the national stadium should be located not just somewhere for the convenience of the big two clubs who actually support England and Ireland respectively, anyway, so absolutely it should be Murrayfield. _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

Murrayfield - last trip to Hampden to Costa Rica game was a difficult journey by car. Parking difficult and roadworks everywhere around the stadium which seems old and neglected. Not a modern facility like Murrayfield. Would actually like a variety of venues for Scotland games. Access is so important nowadays and the tram link to MF is excellent with loads of parking options near ground if needed. Also as said tired of west coast bias that has persisted for too long. _________________ Here Wee go again |

I have been once (Hearts v AEK) 12 years ago in Champs League Qualifier, think there was around 35/40,000 there and one of the only things I remember is the distance the pitch was from the Stands! |

SFA will opt for whiter is the cheapest option.
They always do.
£6M to buy Mampden from Queens Park, that sounds about right for them. _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Gullan 7, Easton 7, Vaughan 7, Stanton 6, Akio 3, Brown 3, Dick 3, Connell 2, Goncalves 2, McBride 2 ,McGill 2,OG 2, Frederiksen 1, Lang 1, Nolan 1, |

This move would be a disaster. Imagine an Old Firm Cup Final in Edinburgh? Absolute carnage! _________________ Championship Winners 2023-24 |

I've never watched a sporting event at Murrayfield (no affection whatsoever for the egg chasing fermurz), but the advantage it would hold over Hampden is we'd be spared all this guff about a Rangers end and a Celtic end. _________________ Dougie Hill

Celtic would claim the West stand with it being closest to the zoo, this being as near to the jungle as they could get. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Never been either but surely the stands can’t be further from the pitch than the stands behind the goals at Hampden?
I’m not a fan of Hampden either and think that the national stadium should always be in the capital but I’d be amazed if they don’t pick Hampden. |
