I’ve not attended enough lately to slate Zanatta to the extent of others but let’s face it, along with Spence and Buchanan, they were three of the top players in this division last year and for whatever reason, not one of them is performing anywhere near what we hoped and in many cases, expected.
Since McGlynn, barring a few months under McKinnon we seem experts at bringing in players, many of good calibre and reducing them to bang average.
It was easy to blame Murray and even easier to blame Locke, just hope Smith isn’t going to end up the same as them in terms of Raith managers and gets things sorted pronto |

Scored a good goal against Queens Park, came with glowing remarks from Queens Park fans, spoke to a few friends who are Hearts season ticket holders who felt this season would have seen him breaking through in their first team....he's definitely been Rovered. See it time and time again, players coming to us with a decent background and ultimately flatter to deceive. Add Buchanan/Spence to the list as well, last seasons star men and both look a shadow of the players when at Livi/Alloa. Bobby Barr is another candidate as well. |
Alas, Zanatta's jersey had more movement on the clothesline than his performance last night. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

It's always a risk when you sign a player, even on loan, from a club where cheating is endemic.
From Romanov willfully ripping off creditors and the tax authorities to the injury feigning Jamie Hammill to Jamie Walker who has been cited and punished for diving on more than one occasion, but has gotten away with it even more often. _________________ Dougie Hill

It's true though. We just can't seem to disentangle ourselves from that mob. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

Zanatta looked decent in the clips for queens park when on loan but he also looked more slight, quicker & fitter but he doesn't fit into our system of play unless he play LM with Barr playing RM.
He would need to cut out the diving its embaressing, but IMO, I would rather play Osei in RM & move Barr to LM to give a better balanc Edith Vaughan playing off either Buchanan or spence but I would also stop, the long punt & kep the ball on the deck like we had been playing at the start of the season as teams couldn't live with us.
Zanatta doesn't look the player he should be & on the games I've seen him he's brutal, so send him back & bring someone else in on Jan if available for no fees if possible, but like I've said before I would rather develop our own young guys rather than another clubs when he has shown us nothing.
IMO Court & Osei as better & will be better but they need game time. In fact just send Zanatta back now, he offers us hee haw - he's pure urine _________________ Let's get right behind the Rovers!... |

Mr Dixbent could use a wee perusal of his messages before he posts eh? However from what I read maybe Edith would be an improvement? Maybe his inaccuracy is a clue to his user name? _________________ Here Wee go again |

Why are players who seemed to do okay elsewhere, now doing so badly with us? Morale? Motivation? Playing alongside the wrong men? Can't adapt to certain strategies? |

I don't think he's got it, simple as that. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 5, Smith 4, Easton 3, Hamilton 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Mitchell 1, Mullin 1, Stanton 1, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

I'd forgotten about the reaction and subsequent intimidation of the match officials when we equalised in the cup tie last season. _________________ Dougie Hill

I think Zanattas' improvement is a lot to do with the type coaching he has received coupled with his own determination to prove himself. Okay it took a while to settle in but he has been improving game on game and it really is up to him to see how far he can go. Hopefully the Rovers will benefit from his transition from U20 to 1st team squad.
We all know how dreadfully fragile these poor footballing darlings can be and that confidence is a big part of life for them so long may his confidence prosper _________________ http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/ |

There have been a couple of instances in the last two games where Zanatta could've easily gone down looking for penalties and he stayed on his feet.
I hope that has signalled a change in attitude and if it has, long may it continue. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |
