I am looking at organising a comedy night at styx next year and so far most of the line up has been confirmed just waiting on 1 comedian to say yes or naw.Its to raise funds for the club,raith foundation and raith developement squad.Its going to be on FRIDAY MARCH 30th at STYX.more details to follow in the coming months.

One thing will be happening and info for this will be out after rock the rovers is that there will be an opportunity for local talent to win a 7 to 10 minute slot on the bill.How we choose the winner is to be decided but i think it may be something like an open mic event or fife`s got talent something like that.

All 3 of the recipents of the profits of this show are always looking for funds i am organising an event to help them do that but so far ticket sales are very slow.Fans and locals in general are always looking for events to go to and I am providing 4 of britains best stand up comedians so hopefully things will improve.

Ticket sales for the show are pretty slow but hopefully in the next few weeks they pick up.If they don't pick up and there is enough tickets sold to make it a great night and worthwhile then I will have to cancel.I don't want to do that but I cant have top comedians travelling from around Britain to play a gig in front of 20 folk.This is a first for the club as far as I know a show of this type so it was a chance I took but with the quality that will be on stage I thought it was a chance worth taking.Not looking like it was the best thing to do after all we shall see.

You'll never make a promoter, Gavin.

You shouldn't be saying things like 'Ticket sales are slow' because all it does is put people off.

How many people are now going to buy tickets for the show in the knowledge that it might be cancelled and they'll have to go to the hassle of getting a refund?

Unfortunately I go back to work on the 28th so I miss out.

Biggles has a point though Gav, Big it up! See if the FFP or Kingdom FM would be willing to mention it. Likewise with RRFC get them to announce it a few times before/and a HT during the East Fife game.
