Raith TV has been innovative in the past and got it right.
The lads are all volunteers who are dedicated fans of The Rovers,as I understand it. So I'm certain that everything that they
do is intended to be in the interests of the Club and,if, for one moment, they thought this addition would eg adversely affect attendances, they
wouldn't have done it and if any contrary evidence emerges, I'm confident that matters will be adjusted accordingly.
The other side of the coin is that, possibly, some will view and be sufficiently enthused to make the effort to travel to attend
some matches in person, to recapture the matchday experience.
Meantime those who can't attend will enjoy this new element - introductory offer or not!
Apart from the welcome interviews, the only service which I have used ,to date, is the highlights section, which is of an excellent quality and well-edited. Its good to
re-view incidents which are over in a flash when seen live from one viewpoint.
Keep up the great work,Raith TV. |

Couple of thoughts:
1) Commentary is much more important on a streamed match than an in person experience, as you can see “everything” in person, but a stream is limited to what the camera shows. This article doesn’t address that in any way.
2) Has anyone seen an actual Pixellot product? How does it look?
3) It’s well and good to stream Brechin City vs Stranraer, but outside of Scotland, what’s the possible audience/revenue? |

Seen them all, but it’s very easy to cherry pick a video to use for promotion. I was hoping someone would have seen an actual product. It seems likely we’ll have a more remote view then we get with Raith TV. I also have concern with where the unit is placed at SP, as I don’t know where that is. |

It's a football stadium in Kirkcaldy, but that's not important right now.

And here I was thinking it was some macadam just outside Winterfell.
Winter is coming, too. |

The camera is a 4 lens unit mounted (almost dead on the half-way line) in the Railway stand camera gantry.
From the looks of it camera lens N1 looks at the North goal end to about 25yrds out, the 2nd lens covers 25 yards to the half way line, No 3 takes over from half way to 25yrds and the 4th covers 25yrds to the south goal line _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 5, Smith 4, Easton 3, Hamilton 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Mitchell 1, Mullin 1, Stanton 1, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

Cheers. Sounds about right, although the coverage areas are trapezoidal, but if it’s the Raith TV position, it should be high enough over there. I’m surprised they are able to use that spot, since the stated maximum cable run of a system from camera to PC was 100 yards in one of the promotional spots.
.we’ve got to be maxing that out. However, it shows the wise investment in running cables for Raith TV when they did! |

Before the new pitch was put down a comms cable was run below ground across the pitch, the length of run won't be as long as 100yds. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Aware of the cable, but...
70 yds under the pitch...plus distance to Railway Stand and up to the gantry, must add at least another 10 yds...plus distance to PC location in the Main Stand from the pitch...IDK. I assume that since Pixellot installed it, it’ll work, perhaps the run can be increased with newer units or better cables.
I do wish they could publish a couple of short videos so we can see what it’ll do. |

Thanks everyone for your efforts in covering the trophy and medals presentation.
Another fine piece of work.
Also great to hear the gaffer pay due recognition of your efforts.
Thanks again and onwards and upwards in the Championship. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Now that we're at the end of another season, albeit a very challenging one in terms of media coverage, may I take this opportunity to thank everyone associated with Raith TV, both in front of, and behind the cameras, for a absolutely magnificent effort in bringing all the live games, match updates, news and interviews to the fans. The "Raith family" are so fortunate to have such a committed group of volunteers.
Thank you one and all and here's to next season.
May it be as enjoyable or better. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!
