It was good to see photos of the rock the rovers donation to the football club and 3 good causes on all the clubs sites i.e facebook, twitter and instagram.Much appreciated ? Evil or Very Mad

Would’ve thought the whole point of giving to charities was not attention seeking!?

My thoughts exactly

I wouldn't say it's attention seeking but if there was more information/ publicity from the official channels then the day might get more attendees.

Surely the more publicity, the more people that might attend, the more money for Rovers and charity. Right?/Wrong?

Only Rovers fans could moan at someone trying to raise money for the club and charity.

My thoughts precisely LV5. Quinny should be lauded from the rooftops for his endeveours and it is a bit dissapointing it isnt being publicised though every one of the club's official channels.

If he was moaning about lack of publicity in the build up to the event that would be fair enough but he's moaning because a photo of him handing across a cheque hasn't appeared anywhere.
If that's not attention seeking I don't know what is.

Do you not think his efforts should be recognised?

Superb. The people representing the charities in that photo look fair chuffed at the money they are receiving.

I wasn't moaning or attention seeking for myself or anything like that I was moaning because I wanted the good causes to get recognised aswell as the club. The people in photo were over the moon and I got a very nice letter from myeloma uk thanking me and all those involved for giving the cheque. They are a cancer charity so all publicity in this day and age is a great help. The money that I gave Kirkcaldy rugby club is going to be used to take the kids to france next year to play games.Kirkcaldy foodbank could do with all the publicity they get as its an ongoing struggle for them to feed a lot of locals. The club itself should be doing all things spossible publicity wise or getting money in because we are skint but they don't do themselves any favours at times.

Anyway regarding publicity i spoke to Niall Russell the media officer and he apologised for not putting the info on all the platforms as he was away getting drunk with his brother at a warsaw beer festival lol.I don't want anything or publicity for myself its for everyone else I want it for but if makes folk better having a go at me then carry on.Thanks to those who know me and know whats what.

The irony of the forums top attention seeker accusing someone else of this is laughable.

My apologies from above - you make a very good point. Anything that can be done to boost the profile of these charities has to benefit them in the long run. This would be a good opportunity for the club to be seen in the community.

Believe me, I've no interest in seeking the attention of folk like you or anyone else on this forum. It's a good place to sound off, no more, no less.
