Ally there are people that use this site that could learn lessons from you about what it is to support the Rovers, myself included it's not about self satisfication it's about supporting your team through thick and thin and you sir have done that and more. People, this man is a legend and most of us should not be classed along side of him. If we could fill Starks Park with Ally Gourlays what a better place it would be. God bless you Ally I am proud to call you a friend. |

Truly tragic news. Just to say thanks to Ally for all the moments. The work he's done and the happiness he's brought is immeasurable. I've loved watching former rovers come back over the last decade though his work. |

Let's get right behind the team......for Ally. He would love nothing more than to hear us all roaring on the Rovers, every single player encouraged to the hilt.
I absolutely endorse Zico's post. _________________ A proud member of the 45. Saor Alba. |

Without Ally we wouldnt have seen so many ex favourites return to Starks Park or his work with the Hall of Fame evenings. Even with his struggling health the Rovers were always a priority and in his heart. A massive loss but although I didnt know him personally but he did so much for me as a Rovers fan. Thanks Ally. |

A man to be admired for his willingness, his enthusiasm, his loyalty, his love, his inspiration, his courage and example. Truly the world and in particular the Raith Rovers family have been blessed with his presence. God go with you Ally. _________________ He's no' hairy mary he's the Rovers' little fairy!

I went in to see ally at the hospital tonight before i went to the game and he had his loved ones around his bed.I went up to him to shake his hand when i arrived and the first thing he said to me was "ALRIGHT GAV ARE YOU ON YOUR WAY TO THE GAME." He is some boy and he was still hanging in there.YOU ARE A LEGEND ALLY. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

I see from the Twitter feed that he managed to make a final visit to Stark's today. Good on him. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

I don't think I could even begin to imagine the level of emotion that would have involved today.
The incredible thing is that Ally will probably be saying he's a lucky guy for getting the chance to do it.
Whatever happens forthwith, I hope and pray that everything is as comfortable and pain free as possible for Ally and that the team perform to a level that is befitting of his courage, spirit and bravery. _________________ Dougie Hill

Struggling to find words to describe my admiration for Ally's bravery and in total awe of the way he has carried on through his illness, totally agree with previous post from Specky Ginger. |

When I worked as a steward I met ally gourlay, seen and talked to him many times, he was a super representative for raith rovers, always treated the guests superbly and very friendly guy, was a pleasure knowing him. Top guy |
