Amazing glory days. Those against against St Johnstone, Berwick Rangers, etc., were fabulous games and so many talented fitba players.

What glory was that then?
I must have been in Rip van Winkle mode at that juncture in history and slept through it all! Confused

Did Didier Agathe score a hat trick on his debut away to Airdrie?

My favourite though was when two players scored hat tricks for us in the same game. Keith Wright with 5 and Paul Smith with 3 (Jimmy Marshall got the other 1) in a 9-2 win over Stenny.

Remember Joe Baker scoring goals for fun, remember 5 in one game can't remember a hat-trick though. Am sure someone out there knows.

Dazza hat trick against St Mirren in the 7-0 was pretty good as well.

This FFP article by Ally Gourlay mentions Baker’s 5 goals against Berwick – clicky.

Aye Biggles and Wellyboot you are both right. This is what supporting the Rovers is all about. The good times and also the bad times but mostly the good times. Laughing

Aye, ah remember that one. I didn't get in until the beginning of the 2nd half and flat out didn't believe ANYONE telling me it was already 6-0. Still saw 5 goals mind. Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed

Aye he did.

Airdrie's goal was a penalty scored by Paul Jack I think it was.

I'm sure one of Didier's was counted as an own goal. Still a superb display though!

Am I right in saying Agathe was down as a trialist in that game against Airdrie? I vaguely remember most Rovers fans scratching their heads pre-match having no clue who he was then hearing on the radio on the way home that McVeigh was frantically trying to get him signed up.

No he was listed on the team sheet so must've been signed. No one had heard about the signing though and weren't expecting him.
