Now that he's left Livingston should we get him back, either as manager, co-manager or director of football?

I say, get him back. At least we'd have his successful hoofball formula, rather than the unsuccessful stuff we now play.

If, and let's be honest it's not looking likey, Murray was punted/resigned I'd rather see us bring someone in that might have us playing a decent standard of football. On the other hand McGlynn did do a fanstatic job on a really limited budget. It's been well known that Murray was given additional funds to spend on players and who knows how McGlynn might have faired with the extra cash. Would have been interesting none the less.

Playing a decent standard with limited footballers is difficult. McGlynn's teams were always that - teams. Even with limited footballers, all the memorable games of the last 10 years have come about as a result of him.

Forgetting the style of football for a minutes, McGlynn was a manager, he was the figurehead of the club and he had stature.

Disrespectful to JM to ask him to work under Murray. If it were to happen then we would improve no doubt but it would still be papering over cracks. Think Murray has burnt his bridges and just needs to go.

Felt at time when McGlynn left that it was a good time for everyone. The guy worked wonders here and on the off chance Murray was to resign today, yes, I would have him in short term but would still like us to look elsewhere, fresh start all round.

A great man and a great manager . Will it work the 2nd time around , I think it would to a certain degree . Is it the fresh approach the fans are looking for, that im not so sure .

It would be a safe bet however . He can spot a player , expects a high level of work rate and knows how to get the best out of the young lads . He is familiar with the board and what they will give him in terms of budget etc .

I do like McGlyn , he has some tactical nouse , and Im sure once he worked out what he has at the club could reorganise , galvanise and see out the remainder of the season . This would be a consolidation job however so it would be mid table at best . Which would be far better than relegation

Absolutely not, the football was dire under McGlynn, he had run his course, then we get Murray and it's even worse, if it is a new manager then someone with a completely different outlook to the negative twins please.

Yes get him in. He put the foundations in place to get us to where we are now. Dont see why he couldnt return a second time round and pick up from Murray

Never a good idea to go back, unless the club is loaded and can afford to sign anyone (Mourinho). Even King Kenny failed 2nd time round at Liverpool and he signed Suarez.

Other examples...Jock Wallace, Jimmy Nic, to name a couple.

No thanks (and I really appreciate what he did for us as manager)

Always think Jimmy Nics second spell with us wasn't as bad as we like to remember. A third place finish in season one and a lowly finish in season two.

Not saying he was worse, I wasn't around then, but he had a big rep to live up to 2nd time round didn't he?

Danny Lennon would be the ideal choice for me. Failing that, we should just send Sinky into the changing room to get them telt!

McGlynn was better than Murray, but not what we need in my book.

I think we need someone with absolutely no connection with Rovers. Someone who is going to come in and dispassionately assess what's there, and how to get the best out of it.

Whatever is done, it has to be done urgently, as Murray is being allowed to drag the club down into real danger.

GET RID ASAP, and forget about bringing back McGlynn.

I enjoyed the game today. There were signs that things are changing for the better, particularly in midfield.

This^

New broom, but whom?

Butcher would be my 1st choice (but out of our price range I fear)
Barry Smith (wants the St Mirren job)
Danny Lennon

Dont want.
McGlynn or Derek Adams,

McGlynn or Derek Adams,

I wouldn't have Butcher anywhere near Stark's Park.

Look what he done to Hibs last season. Would rather keep Murray than hire Butcher.
