Time should never be added on for a goal. He added on at least two minutes too many.

Shooking display by the ref today. ,not sure where the 5 minutes of added time came from. Let StMirren away with murder today yet consistently punished us. Railway stand assistant ref incapable of making a call without first asking the ref.

He was always gonna add a lot on: 4 second half goals, 4 substations and the trainer was on at least once for us.

Still doesn't excuse the fact he (Beaton) was a complete tool though, as you were saying he wasn't the worst though his assistant on the railway side was indeed an imbecile of the highest order. Thank goodness the main stand side man was up to the job.

..... that'd explain the electric atmosphere, eh?

I've never heard of that rule ever being applied. 30 seconds for each goal celebration apparently. There were four goals in the second half last week as well but there was nowhere near the same amount of injury time.

There are many rules that you never see ref's applying.

Any player that puts his hands on another player is committing an offence.
Shoulder charges are still legitimate according to the rule book but when was the last time a keeper was legitimately shoulder charged into the net ball and all?

Just 2 of a great many.

Nah, last decent one was Signor Collina.

His twin brother from Kirkcaldy wasn't too bad in his day as well. Wink

The 6 second rule for goalkeepers. When was the last time you saw that applied?

True Welly, but even that is an adaption of an earlier rule where the keeper could hold on to it as long as he wanted as long as he bounced the ball often.

The six second rule is alive and well and living in Law 12 of football.
Reason it's rarely if ever applied could well be due to refs not wanting the hassle of an indirect free kick about 6-8 yards from a goal line. You can just see all the pushing and shoving and disagreements going on and as long as all just let it go and get on with the game then fine unless it was really blatant time wasting seems to be the current mantra.

Dallas Jnr with a horrible decision to send Son's Docherty off and give Falkirk penalty. Definite penalty but keeper would have saved Bairds hook shot if ball hadn't hit the guys arm. A yellow at the very worst. Baird scores from spot.
Edited to add that now the Lino has cancelled out a perfectly OK Son's headed equaliser for offside. Clueless. Looked at the man who maybe was offside at the free kick (but not in active play) instead of the goal scorer.
Another edit to say he's given the Sons a penalty in dying seconds of game for Bairns keeper flattening Nade in the air. Sons equalise. Well deserved draw.
