From a Rover's point of view it was encouraging to see the lack of depth the Arbroath squad has. This augurs well for the rest of the season when the inevitable injuries and suspensions to key players take their toll. |

You're surely not suggesting that a team that plays the Dick Campbell style of football is likely to incur suspensions are you? _________________ Dougie Hill

Cracking game so far tonight from Tannadice.
Ayr look worthy league leaders and winning 1-0 at present.
Only thirty minutes gone but McDaid, Moffat and Shankland causing problems with their direct running and pace. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

2-0 now Shankland's second of night. Well worked goal. Poor covering in defence.
No more than they deserve. Fast direct one touch football has United playing second fiddle with Calum Booth and Paul Watson floundering full backs. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Perfect summation of proceedings so far FS.
Ayr on balance of play should be at least another goal up but with 15 to go will United actually manage to threaten the Ayr goal? _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

3-0 nil now.
United nothing like near title contenders.
I think it'll be between Ayr and County this season.
Speaking to Scott Thomson at HoF night and I suggested that but he thought United and ICT might be in the mix.
Not on tonight's showing. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

4-0. Shankland's penalty and a hat trick!
One min later it's 5-0! Shankland's fourth on the night! _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Supposedly Swansea looking at Shankland. Could Ayr survive without him banging goals in week after week |

The rumour goes that he would be loaned back for the rest of the season. _________________ Hope he's got plenty Rovers action to comment on tonight.... |

Although Shankland has the kind of coupon I would never tire of punching, you have to question why the likes of Hearts shelled out quarter of a million on Craig Wighton instead of going for Shankland. _________________ Dougie Hill

Stuck this in here given the debate on the Arbroath game and Alba.
The Hielan' Derby due to be shown live tonight on the new BBC Scotland channel is off due to waterlogged pitch in Inverness.
At least the crowd size might be decent next time around, if not on tele, because it would have been dismal tonight due to live broadcast and awful weather. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Don't know if this is a repeat or not but seem to remember watching a programme about her last year. If it is the repeat then very well worth watching.
Anyway, it matters not if a repeat or not, for her story is inspirational in a number of ways.
New life in a European country, unable to speak the language, fabulous football player, seriously ill at one point, experienced la dolce vita big time etc. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!
