Just finished watching fabulous rugby match which saw Glasgow outplay Leinster yet still managed to lose 17-15. A real sore one to take. Now watching Gothenburg. No guesses what that's about, but there is a man with a red nose that's talking a lot and it ain't Santa! _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Of course it's not Santa, everyone know Santa sleeps from the end of December until the end of October.
Anyway Santa is a magical man that can make the impossible happen.... and no even the fabled Fergie could work the same magic in Scottish football these days! _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Easton 6, Gullan 6, Stanton 4, Dick 3, Vaughan 3, Connell 2, Brown 1, Frederiksen 1, McBride 1, OG 1. |

Watching that Gothenburg documentary really hits home how much Scottish football has sunk into the abyss over the last 30 years. It's amazing to think that Aberdeen team only finished 3rd in the Premier League that season, although they still had a chance of winning it on the last day had both Dundee United and Celtic lost.
Notice how few of their games were actually televised during that amazing run and how Rangers were never quoted in the title race, but all we hear now is the myth that Scottish football can inly survive with a strong Old Firm and Sky TV money. _________________ Dougie Hill

Yes changed days indeed - apparently when Fergie left Aberdeen to go to OT the Man U execs discovered the Dons had been paying him more than they had been paying Ron Atkinson to manage one of the biggest clubs in the world. Difficult to imagine Derek Mcinnes on more money than Moyes will get when he takes over from Fergie isn`t it ? |

Kick off delayed by ten minutes to let in the punters. Looks to be a decent evening weather wise. Pitch looks immaculate for so late in the season. Ah! But! It's artificial. Silly me! _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Hearts really lucky to be level at HT. Well off the pace set by Thistle who are showing decent off the ball movement. I get the impression Hearts are there for the draw and anything more is huge bonus. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

The Rovers influence in that 1-1 draw. Cracker of a goal from Jamie Walker. Baird flattened in the box for the penalty. Draw probably just about right and another point pegged back for the men(boys!) from Gorgie. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!

Must have watched a different game. if thistle had a bit of compsure up front they would have hammered hearts with the second half chances alone. _________________ Through thick and thin, good and bad. (Even the Iain Munro times). Forever a rover. |

Oops! My mistake! There should have been a question mark after "right"!
I didn't see much of the second half until the last ten minutes. _________________ Talk on! Talk on!
