How about something along the lines of the trust.
You start a foundation (after seeing if the interest is there with mibbeez something in the courier/FFP) and ask peeps to donate monthly by DD with whatever amount each are comfortable with. ( I do 6 of these things monthly masel cos am a big softy)
Charitable donations could be made in the name of rrfc club/ supporters. You can always argue later where the money is spent..........thats what commitees are for
£1 or £2 a month is not a lot to ask even from students/oap/etc.
Pretty much every charity you can dream of does this...............cos it works. How can anybody argue they cant afford a quid a month
This could prove to be a real vote winner with the peeps of kdy, providing the coverage is there, and I would imagine the FFP would do their bit. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

Good thinking Cuparman. How about using the proceeds from the loose change drum as well. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

What is the meaning of this post on the clubs website . Is this the reaction from your proposal Gav .
also the link dosn't take you to anything ,,,, .
I would be hoping for more than a posting on the website , basically knocking the ball back into the other side of the court. ( in short saying you deal with it ) |

I don't think it will affect anything you have suggested to the club. I expect they will still give you little if any support. |

When reading it again i dont think so either as for my suggestion i havent heard a word from the club or the 2 directors who were going to look into it for me.So if we dont get some sort of organised community trust/foundation started now where we all know whats going on then it will never happen.I received a lovely thank you card from the staff and kids at rachel house thanking me and those who went along at christmas with their presents. It was quite emotional but it shows what can be done for the kirkcaldy and fife community and that the community do greatly appreciate it when it is.I certainly cant keep making suggestions or organising community events without getting support back especially if its being done in the clubs name.Dont get me wrong when i ask for signed balls etc they do come up with the goods its just the bigger picture we should be looking at. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

Firs of all any money raised would go into the community side of things and wouldnt affect the club.As far as i can see there is no fans forum altho there is fan groups who all do their own thing. You are not trying to tell me there is no one out there of a rovers persuasion or otherwise who wont be interested in this. When we were saved it was proclaimed that we would be a community club but as far as i am concerned we havent done enough on that side of things. Its only an idea and if they dont want to do it then its fine but it certainly would help if its all coordinated and folk know whats going on.If it doesnt happen then i dont see how the likes of myself can continue doing what we do without it being organised better. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

Potentially, setting up a Trust fund that has DD's similiar to our rovers trust, could defo be a long term winner that could grow for years.
Raith trust is there to help fund the club, a new trust, with a different name but instead created to give to the community.
Defo a worthy cos and would benefit both club and town . The club due to good PR and the town charities/whatever financially.
Good luck Gav.................I really think this could be a winner. I know its practical help you need, I hope you get it.
There are only a few like you and the rest of the guys that work for the club as volunteers. You should be proud of what you all do. _________________ Born a Rover Live a Rover Die a Rover |

Applaud SOW for his work and ideas but unfortunately in this day and age folk have limited amount of money to go round and personally if I had any spare would give to the club. _________________ THERES FIVE OF ME |
