Andy sees GB through to the Davis Cup world group quarter finals for the first time in 28 years.

Indeed the boy did good!
But for me the star of the tie was James Ward on Friday coming back from 2 sets to 1 down and 5-3 in the 4th to level then beat smug Sam Query and set GB up at 2-0.
I just love watching the yanks getting beat it's almost as good as England losing at..... well anthing really. _________________ Competitive goals: Easton 5, Vaughan 5, Smith 4, Hamilton 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Mitchell 1, Mullin 1, Stanton 1, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

Hmm second week of Wimbldon and the nations favourite dour Scot (not Sir Alex, although he was there too!) is through to the quarter finals without so much as dropping a set and yet there's been nothing on here, not even a peep from the usual naysayers........ is there a World Cup or something on? _________________ Competitive goals: Easton 5, Vaughan 5, Smith 4, Hamilton 2, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Mitchell 1, Mullin 1, Stanton 1, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

Looks like the 12 months from August 2012 to July 2013 will be the high water mark for Andy Murray. If Federer, Nadal and Djokovic hadn't been on the scene he would have probably won a few other slams but then the same could be said of a few other players over the last decade. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

Andy Murray is through to his eighth Grand Slam final and is closing in on Fred Perry's record of 10 Grand Slam finals. The British number one is also now equal 13th, alongside Ken Rosewall and Guillermo Vilas, on the list of most Grand Slam finals reached in the Open Era. _________________ Novar before Brussels now |

I thought he was finished. Especially after changing coaches.
He has done well to reach the final but I think he'll be well beaten tomorrow. Again. |

Clinical dispatch of opponent yesterday - Raonic will be a harder task though - very proud of Andy though. Although I seem to be the only one that is on here _________________ Here Wee go again |
