Why not the £50,000 forward line from the 1920's surely they should go in first,or the players that gave their lives for the country in the 1st world war they deserve a place as well. The arguement can go on and on as to who deserves a place, but we have to start somewhere and that is Jim Baxter accept it and move on. |

Spot on Zico, the first Famous Five.
Sadly sold for peanuts in the end, isn't that typical RRFC? |

Yes Tam it just shows peoples involvement in this, but whoever you think should be first it's irrelevent as the choice has been made I think personally it probably should have been Willie McNaught for his service to the club.It has been decided by others that Jim Baxter would be the one. Here's one for you Tam do you not think it should be the only Rovers player to win a European cup winners medal(I have probably got this wrong) Willie Wallace. The list is endless lets just accept Jim Baxter. |

Good one Zico.
I think the organisers got it partially right, the first evening event with Jim Baxter got the media talking and the fans and the event should have always had a Rovers great alongside.
Good idea to hold it in November and it really should be on the 27th.
The venue could be somewhere that could hold a significant amount of fans on FRIDAY evening. Bevvy Park Hotel? |

Agreed Tam. A venue like the Bevvy Park Hotel would make you feel part of the event as there won't be a stage etc. and also gives the speaker better opportunity to work the crowd. Adam Smith would just be watching different people talk on stage for a bit. Just my opinion. |

That's our tickets booked for the RRFC Hall of Fame EIGHT legends night
Better hurry fans as the Adam Smiff Theatre only has seating for 475 and that's five in the bag already and apparently a good number have been sold. |

The night is beginning to take shape. With Gordon Dalziel added to To Houston and Andy Harrow and with one more recent player to be added alongside an interview piece with Jimmy Nicholl it should be a Rovers show worth watching I hope. Gordon Strachan is enthusiastic about his part and he will have some stories to tell.
We are hoping to get all tickets away for the sake of the night and to increase the sum collected for the club. There are about 115 left out of 475 so we are getting there.
Good value for twenty quid I reckon. |

This year's show is scheduled to take place on Monday 11th November at the Adam Smith Theatre and will again be a stage show rather than conventional sportsman's dinner.
Graeme Souness and Liam Brady are this year's VIP guests alongside this year's inductees and around 20 Rovers legends will be on stage sharing their memories.
This year's tickets are selling well with only around 80 left from the capacity of 475 seats so if you fancy going it might be worth getting tickets arranged sooner rather than later.
Tickets are available at the theatre or online at www.onfife.com |
