And the slump continues courtesy of another defensive lapse and a clear lack of any penetration up front. A very worrying mix if things don't soon take a turn for the better. The joys (or not) of following Raith Rovers. Surprised
That's the tea 'spilte' for another Setturday! Sad

Absolutely brutal.Lost the goal from a set piece where again every single Rovers player in the box.McGlynn is driving supporters away with his negative lets try and not lose the game tactics as opposed to trying to win the game tactics.

Just in and one word which best describes that game for me, is brutal!

It was brutal to watch. We never seemed to have a clue what to do when going forward, every free kick we took quickly had to go back, which put us under presssure.

Apart from the free kick which hit the bar, Mcneill had nothing to do. Apart from dealing with the abuse hurled at him from the home stand.

Baird had an awful game, he has been rotten for weeks IMO, and i dont think JM has the balls to drop or sub him, because insead he took off the young hearts boy who was having an ok game.

Not sure what this idea of putting everyone in he box to defend at a corner is all about. Its a stupid idea, because it means the opposition can commit as many bodies as they like. It means we have no outlet if Mcgurn was to collect. And iroinicly enough their goal came from a corner where everyone was back, and it was a FREE header! so its clear to me McGlynn needs a new Book on tactics, because the one he has is useless! The team didnt have a clue when attacking. I know we have a small club, no money etc, but recent performances have been disgraceful. Now were 6 defeats in the last 7 weeks. And in my opinion we are not favourites for the next 3 games. Away at Partick and Ayr, then home to Dundee. If were lucky well get A point from them.

We deserve to be in the position we are.

I know theres a lot of negatives in my post, i do try to look for the positives, but i cant seem to find any. And its only gonna get worse when we lose the loan signings we have in january, unless we manage to keep hold of them.

Got to agree with this unfortunately with the exception of J.Walker having an OK game, I thought nobody scored pass marks today.

The best football on show was during the half time interval when the wee lads and lassies played 4 a side Shocked

Seriously, we have Dave McGurn to thank for keeping it down to a single goal. The fact we had no shots on target says it all, Walker and Holt had chances, but they snatched at them. McGurn deserved MoM and Davidson also did well. the three Hearts lads did everything they could, but so often Baird wasn't where he should be, so they had to either retain the ball or play it backwards.

It wasnt a good match, hardly anything to cheer, which made it feel darn colder than it actually was.

Whytake Holt off, should have been Baird, who hasn't done much the last few weeks. Prychynenko isn't a footballer, but he gets starts?

That's my last game till the New Year match v Dundee.

Once again we lose a goal from a corner..Livi defence will never have an easier afternoon,we have no clout up front and when we do break from defence,we take forever.More than once we gave the ball away in the Livi end and they were up the other end of the park before we seemed to realise what was happening.I know that there is ages to go but cannot see us getting much better and moving up the table.

After an improvement in our last home game against Hamilton, it was back to the same old rubbish. Lots of possession but no final ball. We all know how dodgy McNeil is but we never really tested him. Almost every time we got in to the final third, the wrong option was taken and we never hit the target. McGurn is the only thing keeping the scores down at the moment and he can't be faulted for his performance today. The young boys, Holt, Smith and J.Walker were very energetic but were let down by a lack of options in front of them. Dyer and Prychynenko were dreadful. Murray, Ellis, Davidson, A.Walker and Baird were poor. We need to make the most of having these young boys for the next few games. If our other players showed as much energy as them and got in to the box, they would at least have something to aim at and we might look like scoring.

The only positives I can think of was that we only had to pay £15 instead of £17 to watch that rubbish. Oh and the Livvy drummer wasn't there either.

The drummer not being there isn't a bad shout actually as the only positive. The only one I could think of is that football only lasts 90 minutes so it finished eventually and we didn't have to sit watching that mince any longer. McGurn had a great game, Davo was our best outfielder and the three Hearts boys at least looked like they cared. I'm struggling after that to find anything else good to say.

It wasn't much of a game, was it? It was *beep* freezing too.

We hit the bar in the first half and that's about it. We were poor defensively for the goal. In general, we can't defend against pace down the wings as our full backs are slower than cancer, and the centre of our defence are poor at defending crosses and corners. That's a bad combo.

Thank God I don't have to go back until the New Year.

I'm beginning to get that feeling too. It just feels like a relegation season, and we seem to be going with a whimper rather than a bang. Hopefully things start to improve soon but I won't hold my breath for it.
