I see the fans being the biggest winners here and I'm all for it.
IMO more Raith fans would go to the rink than vice-vesa
Can't see very many Pars fans going for it.. some perhaps not talking scores but maybe a few
Just can't see too many Hockey fans opting to come to football as they are a different breed. I know some do already support Raith and FF but they are in the minority. Most of the FF fans I know can count on one hand how many football games they've been to in their entire life.
Cash wise the cheapest is the rink (£15 & £8 ) then SP (£17 & £9) then DAFC (£18-20 & £10) although SP is the cheapest if using the Parent and child facility. (Also we've dropped our prices to the same as the Flyers Hmmmmm that's convenient)
So for the best deal go to the Flyers and then a game at EEP (if you can stand that much torture in one lifetime!)
So what org' would benefit the most?
If it happens then probably KIHC as maybe there are more folks out there like me who will go to RRFC no matter what but can't afford the icerink as well as. With 1/2 price admission to one event then it perhaps becomes occasionally affordable even if not on a weekly basis. In this scenario FF will benefit by getting some more fans who are coming in at 1/2 price. In my book 505 of something is better than 100% of naff all.
Will the Rovers lose any money out of this? That's the big question personally I doubt it.
I'd make it a voucher handed at the turnstile of the 1st game allowing 1/2 price entry at the alternate sports fixture the following week. e.g
Attendance at FF v Braehead on Sunday entitles 50% to RR v Livvi next Sat.
Or attendance at RR v Livvi entitles a 50% discount on entry to FF v Belfast.
Now how are they going to accommodate season ticket holders?? _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Gullan 7, Easton 7, Vaughan 7, Stanton 6, Akio 3, Brown 3, Dick 3, Connell 2, Goncalves 2, McBride 2 ,McGill 2,OG 2, Frederiksen 1, Lang 1, Nolan 1, |

They could for next season add a couple of extra vouchers into the season tickets for both the Rovers and the Flyers that allows discounted entry into the others games. _________________ Fantalk~Often wrong but never in doubt |

How is it possible raith will lose money out of a venture like this. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

The only way Raith could lose money is with people who are already committed to going to both. They could theoretically pay full price at the Ice Rink and half at SP which would mean Raith losing out on 50% of the value.
Likely-hood of this? IMO less than 10% probably less than 10 customers in reality.
Watch out for an 1100 to 1200 crowd at SP next Sat. _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Gullan 7, Easton 7, Vaughan 7, Stanton 6, Akio 3, Brown 3, Dick 3, Connell 2, Goncalves 2, McBride 2 ,McGill 2,OG 2, Frederiksen 1, Lang 1, Nolan 1, |

from the other thread
The only way for this to be commercially viable is if Flyers fans who don't already go to Stark's Park start taking up the offer, and this outnumbers the number of people who currently do follow both.
So, for example, if there are 100 current Raith/Flyers fans who would get half-price entry to Stark's Park in this type of deal, you would need to attract 100 Flyers fans who don't go to Stark's Park just to break even

no point if theres little or no benefit to our the club. this looks all one way , fife flyers way .

glutton for punishment Raith fans .watch the rovers being beaten then go up and watch the flyers being beaten .two clubs that cant buy a win[/quote] |

With Raith away from home this weekend the old barn(fife ice arena) could be a good alternative. Top of the league Belfast come to town so hopefully a good crowd.
After the great coverage flyers got on sky sports this week let's hope Kirkcaldy will come out and support the flyers at home. Then when raith are back at home we come out in numbers to support them. Eventually we could hopefully have two teams in the top division of there respective sports. |

Once again, the Flyers have done the town proud tonight. Rovers players, please take note. |

The last thing we need is for Flyers to have any success. Bring back the days when they were stuck in the Scottish amateur league in front of crowds of 500. _________________ If I were a fighter I'd probably kick your ass. |

Ironic that 8th place is seen as a great achievement in their league.
Silly if you ask me, play what? 60 games a season in the aim of finishing above 2 of your rivals! |
