The first Rally Round Rovers fundraiser will take place on Saturday 19th November in Styx, as 48 players showcase their skills on this year's top-selling football game, Fifa 12, on Xbox 360.
With Rovers' out of action due to the Scottish Cup, we'd like as many Raith fans as possible along to support the event and take part; however, with only 48 places availalbe, make sure and get your place booked early as it's sure to be a sellout!
The format will be 8 groups of 6 teams, comprising of the top teams in the top leagues around the world. Players will be allocated a team at random on the day. The top 2 teams from each league will qualify for the knockouts.
Entry is £6 per player, and tickets will be on sale in due course. Watch this space for more details
Adult/Child co-operative will be allowed if there are younger kids wanting to take part.
Prize is an OFFICIAUL UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGE MATCHBALL donated by ACA sports (these things ain't cheap!)

Don't think we're in the Scottish Cup until the 4th round this year. However, if we are playing that day then we'll just shift it to the Sunday.

Correct, in round 4 this season (same as SPL clubs) due to finishing 2nd last season:
http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/SFAPublications/SFAHandbook/12%20CupCompRules.pdf
"Round Three
The clubs which, in the previous season, were members of The Scottish Premier League and those clubs finishing in The Scottish Football League First division league positions one to four, shall be exempt from playing in Round Three of the Competition" |

Tickets will be on sale at Styx and ACA Sports in due course. Again, there are only 48 spaces so make sure and get your ticket ASAP.
If we sell out quickly, we can increase the size of the tournament - but only if we sell out quickly!

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!
How about the pair of you have a grudge match, and the loser puts £10 into the fundraising account? |

Nope, kids allowed to upstage the adults Normal rules for Styx apply though, think under-12s need to be accompanied by an adult
The kids will probably be better than the parents, but we would welcome parent/child 2 player co-operative teams; the ticket is to enter a team so it's the same cost.
Will see if we can get a couple of pool tables for any parents bringing kids along, who are not taking part. |

Like it, Fifa Fantalk grudge matches.
We can permit this - if anyone wants to take someone on, then the minimum stake is £5, of which the winner gets their fiver back, and a fiver goes to the funraising account.
Except for you guys, who have already pledged a tenner
Bring it on! |
