Jim,
did the proprietor of Stark's Bar, Robert Stark, have any connection with "Stark's Park"? _________________

On the original topic, the 200 club was quite busy on Saturday.
On a day such as yesterday just imagine (if we had the room, say, perhaps a large social club if you will) how much more money the club could have made from the many who had their pre & post game refreshments in the licensed premises close to, but out with SP it's self.
Next season many more such opportunities will (hopefully) be possible.
Not that I am promoting any form of alcoholism. |

Yeah completely right. The set up would be ideal and would allow the visiting fans somewhere to drink to. However this would be a more viable propostion if we were in the 1st division when teams actually bring a travelling support |

The 200 Club was on Saturday mobbed!! We had to turn people away which we have to do on a regular basis. We could do with larger premises as could the hospitality and other groups within Starks Park.
We are all trying to achieve so much within the limited space available. |

Maybe you guys should take on this social club idea and run it outwith the premises to leave room for the hospitality to maximise revenue??? |

Sadly and realistically all too true.
Serious investment required and that sort of money (even if it were out there) would probably be better spent starting afresh not adding to a stadium we don't own.
We can still dream though, I've got my Euro Lottery ticket for Friday |

Can only agree.Although it would be nice to have somewhere for all Rovers supporters to go for a drink as opposed to paying £20 a year for the privilege as it is at the moment sadly its pie in the sky.Saying that,if there was someone who had the kind of money required for this venture I would rather see it being invested in the club/players.I feel the Raith Suite is under used compared to the likes of East Fife where you can get a bar lunch during the week or used to and Dunfermline who also do bar lunches, night time meals,Sunday carvery.I`m sure both these clubs are not doing at a loss |

i have been bleating on for months now about our social club and the need for it to be run all year round to bring money in.i looked into different ideas and passed em onto the chairman to have a wee look but havent spoke to him about it yet.plenty folk have come on here and said we need this and that but so far no one has come on with any ideas how we get this and that. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE
