I think that the strip is fine and if Davo and Co. are at ease with their sexuality and comfortable playing in pink, that is OK with me.
Put it this way, if they knock in barrow loads of goals whist attired, who cares.
Personally, I shall be making a comfortable donation to maggies in appreciation of the clubs association with the cause.
N.B. I have also sponsored a players shirt, so win win for all concerned.

I think its a cracking strip and if £2 from each shirt goes to a great cause then even better. How many clubs in scotland actually do something like this not many i dont think so all those slating the club need to give them a break.MAGGIES CENTRE is for men aswell as women who are dealing with cancer.

First saw pink shirts on the Russian Rugby team - is pink a western European hang up? I like it anyway - will put one on Xmas list from my daughter - loved it too Mr. Latto - looks too gay - no offense to gay people - an all time Fife classic.

I agree that it is for a good cause, but there was nothing to stop us donating £2 from each shirt sold to Maggies regardless of the colour. I'd also suggest that £2 from a £40 shirt is a very little amount.

I won't be buying the shirt, but will happilly donate the £2 to Maggies anyway. In fact, since I'm not spending lots of money on a shirt that is awful, I can even donate more to them!

good for you and maybe £2 is a little amount but it all adds up the more shirts that are sold plus the club and a.c.a have to make something.

SOW no one is slating the club and no one who thinks the strip is naff would belittle any association with Maggies. As has been said it doesn't take a pink strip to make that association. Once all the photo shoots and publicity stunts are past we are left with a howler of a gimmick strip (IMO) that has absolutely no links with Raith Rovers tradition.

I bet ACA Sports are making alot more than £2 per strip.

ACA and Raith Rovers didn't need to do anything that would link in Maggies but the pink strip has raised a lot of interest and will hopefully make more people aware of the centre and the great work that they do.

Can we not just appreciate that rather than get in to the intricasies of how much money will be made through this venture?

It'd be weird for a while, the lack of negativity but we'd get used to it I'm sure.

Would have preferred it to be a third or novelty kit. Still, the Rovers occasionally play like jessies, so they might as well look like them too........ Very Happy
Definately WONT be buying one for myself, but will buy one for my daughter I think.

Agree with the sentiments of charity donation could have been made regardless of colour.

Perhaps not but by putting Maggies on the shorts for free is effectively giving something when they didn't have to.

All in all it's good publicity that has people talking not just locally but nationwide (it's in the Sun).

And at long last McGlyn has us playing in Hearts colours! Even if it looks as though it is an old away strip thats colours have run in a boil wash!
