I was working in Kirkcaldy and dropped in.
I know there was the online account to subscribe too, however, at the time, I had my huge Fife Council wage Laughing burning a hole in my pocket and did it on the spur of the moment.

As far as i know the club know nothing about this fundraising unless dave w has informed them which i doubt. The account is at the bank of scotland and you are able to go in and put it in over the counter like i did the day.So unless the club are going to deposit it into the said account then you wont see that £50 going to the fund.

When I paid it in, the club was aware and the money will be passed on.

Well done guys, top medals for you and your brilliant donations.

I just wish the club, fans rep and website could get together and make it official.

You know it makes sense.

Raith Rovers would like to take the opportunity to thank fans, both of the club and other teams across Scotland, who’ve taken the time to contact us regarding the recent developments within Scottish Football.

Whilst we may not have had time to respond to every message, they are all being read by the Directors. We’ve also been monitoring Facebook, Twitter and other social media.

The response has been overwhelming, and unexpected.

A few Aberdeen fans have grouped together to sponsor players for next season. One group, Aberdeen Fans For Sporting Integrity, are sponsoring Roary Rover and will donate the shirt to a local charity at the end of the season. They’ve already raised so much money that they are supporting other clubs in a similar way.

In addition, Raith fans have been using the SUPPORT ROVERS bank account to donate towards the running of the club. These funds will help pay the club’s expenses for the trip to Wick at the end of the month. This account was set up last year and initially the amount was quite modest, but in the last few days the flow of donations has increased. On Thursday the club received a £335 cheque from the account, making a total of £563. Many thanks to all who are contributing and keep up the good work.

If you would like to donate to this account the details are – SUPPORT ROVERS: Sort Code – 80-16-84, Account Number – 06025487.

Dave has just emailed me to say the cumulative total is now £993.00
