|

I was having a think which is a dangerous thing to do, and it suddenly occured to me on how the club could make £1m+ quickly and easily.
If you think about it the railway stand is either an eyesore or an opportunity of a lifetime. Here is the plan...
1. Demolish the stand or brick-up the front (or install a wooden facade)
2. Split the available space into either 1 or 2 million equally sized squares
3. Sell each square for £1 each
We could even do the same with the homepage of the website. It might not look pretty, but if you go by The Million Dollar Homepage (http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com) - it might be worth a punt. |

Wooden façade might be possible (but'd play hell with the highlights pictures) but demolishing it's a no no.
To demolish the structure (or even do work to the embankment) we'd have to bring in heavy plant which would necessitate closing the main railway line during the process. Network rail & partners would be seeking £100,000 in compensation per day to close the line.
New regulations since the Railway stand was built apparently _________________ Competitive goals: Connolly 15, Easton 6, Gullan 6, Stanton 4, Dick 3, Vaughan 3, Connell 2, Brown 1, Frederiksen 1, McBride 1, OG 1. |

Stephen ,,, your imagination is tops .
my idea for the railway stand was . 1 demolish the stand and build a restaraunt towards the rear with large glass window overlooking the whole pitch .2 create exscative boxes at the front for pitch side support .
in short the food the restaraunt serves all year round , will pull in finace .
could you imagin a dinner for two overlooking the ground . this is a major money spinner . Speculate to aclumulate .. or start a fundraiser to finace this project .
This would bring in coporate events on match day birthdays weddings funarals etc etc . it would give give s.p. a bit of a facelift .
