I don't think that you will get the 'whole package' in a keeper at this level... however, I would much rather have a great shot-stopper than goal kicker!

MoM again at the home game v Livi. Going to mirror the 2009/10 season when he won all the PoY prizes going, as his shot-stopping performances ensured we stayed up.

Looks as if we're going to need more inspired heroics from Davie again this season if we've any chance of avoiding relegation.

MoM again today v Dundee. That's 2 home games in a row where he's been MoM. He's a wonderful keeper, but goalies should never get MoMs at home games, let alone successive games. Says it all really.

Whoever's the new manager should make resigning him a priority, but I fear he'll sign for a club nearer to home after 4 years of travelling.

Just me that is worried about the Pars being desperate for a 'keeper?
McGurn is far better than DAFC but they can offer him a better platform (Until the end of the season anyway. Cool) to show off just how good he is.

Tell them nicely to gtf if they do darken our door please, Dave.
We love you, man!

No you're not the only one worried, and they know fine well how good he is. Would they take on a part-time keeper though ? When is his contract up ? shouldn't we be doing our utmost to get him re-signed ?

I believe he signed a new two-year contract at the end of the 2009/10 season, therefore it expires at the end of this season Sad

I'm sure the Pars would rather have Davie than their back-up keeper Smith - if that happens, he would be a massive loss.

Hate to say it but I can see McGurn leaving at the end of the season.

Hand on heart I think many would agree I'm amazed there has been no interest from SPL teams in Dave yet. While he's getting on a bit in terms of age, that really isn't a problem for many keepers. The guy truly is a legend though.

I don't think many teams would want a keeper that isn't there at training everyday with the rest of the team, maybe wrong

How many MOTM's has Davie earned this season?

Has to be a record for any keeper.

I have heard of keepers getting the accolade after keeping their team in a match or avoiding defeat but is it 4 or 5 times he has been MOTM and still be on the losing side?
