I get the impression you're all going to bring this thread back up next week saying there's no chance of a title win. |

Are you assuming SA beat us next week.
Personally i believe this league is there for the taking and we must go for it. From what i have seen so far, the only teams we have to worry about are the pars and falkirk. As for the rest, they are all 2/3 wins or more behind us and have a lot of ground to make up. Ok so we win, get promoted and then relegated. So what the club is richer and wiser from the experience. _________________ now enjoying my fishing time, at peace with nature. but being a avid radio ham my global contacts have increased. any hams around call me lz2csk on 14200 or their aboyuts |

Who says we yoyo back into div 1? We have a very good boss and many of our players have spl experience! Of course the squad would need to be strengthened but don't write us off!
Still 29 games to go this season anyway! _________________ A proud member of the 45. Saor Alba. |

I suppose it's possible that we could go on and win the league, but we'd need to have an extremely lucky season in terms of injuries and suspensions. Personally, I'm happy enough with the Rovers being a fairly successful 1st Division side who have the occasional cup run, but I don't think John McGlynn shares that view. I really can't be arsed paying over £20 to watch an ordinary league game, but it would be good to have a season challenging for the 1st Division title again. Maybe we could return to being the West Brom of Scotland, yo-yoing between the 1st and the Premier.
What size of squad did we have when we won the title in 92/93? From memory it wasn't that big. _________________ This is the year we win the Play-offs.

That's why he's not a headmaster. Sorry Embow - as a teacher - I know you'll love that. _________________ we are the OUI team |

You can`t be arsed paying £16 at the moment. What page of your excuse book are you on now for not going to games? |

I can't recall the page number, but having a baby daughter seems to get me out of attending quite a few games.
Aberdeen on Wednesday was my first and only Rovers game of the season so far. If i'm very good, my wife might let me go to the Stirling game. _________________ This is the year we win the Play-offs. |

Think thats the first time you`ve used that excuse. Can`t recall the page number but I`ll refresh your memory on other excuses, frequent family get togethers, buying DVD`s and CD`s,going to the bookies, weather and preferring to sit and watch Jeff Stelling on Sky Sports

Unfortunately, Jeff Stelling has been deleted from the current revision of my excuse book. I only have Freeview and nasty SSN realised that there were loads of cheap gits like me who were quite happy with the goals on a Sunday morning and Jeff on a Saturday afternoon.
I'm thinking of publishing my excuse book in time for the Christmas rush; It'll be a great stocking filler.
It's just unfortunate that Rovers return to playing half decent footie has come at a time when I have a lot going on. Why couldn't I have been this busy when Anelka and Dalziel were the managers? _________________ This is the year we win the Play-offs. |
