Not allowed on the pitch and what it says on the main site Starks’ Park open for a look “behind the scenes”.
(N.B. Except Changing Rooms)
Not allowed in the changing rooms either, which is pretty poor actually as the last open day i went to you were allowed in the dressing room. |

As far as I know thats because the team will need the home changing room, they will be doing a training session. |

Forgive me if I sound a bit critical, but I thought the point of having an Open Day was to make it last a whole day... rather than the 2-hour crap taking place on Sunday.
The last Open Day in 2003 was great. There was the 'behind the scenes tour', proper merchandise being sold and face painting for the kids and much more. If I remember, that Open Day lasted at least 4-5 hours.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate what the club are doing and I hope to pop along on Sunday - but at least if the club are going to call it an Open Day then have it last longer than 2 hours! _________________ Oh no no no Geordie Munro,

OK, this isn't what I would call and 'Open Day', but just remember that a lot of people are giving up their own time to organise this. Perhaps the club should have called it 'An invitation to see behind the scenes and the team train' rather than an Open Day - but that is splitting hairs.
If you think it should have be done differently - you should have gotten involved or done it. I get very frustrated that people complain at things that the club, and volunteers, try to organise but are unwilling to give anything in return. The simple answere to this is - don't go if you are unhappy! |

"2 hour crap" thats rich coming from someone who bizzarely states his reason for not going to the opening league game of the season is playing poker ..... well done to all those that gave up their time today.
I'm sure those that attended and especially the kids were highly appreciative. |

You know something i was one of those who had a wee moan about the short notice of organising this open day as i think it should be set up months in advance so we can organise more events. But after standing there for 2 effing hours at a wee blue stand looking to sell rock the rovers tkts aswell as take tile orders and not selling anything at all i think it was great. To see the next generation of raith fans getting to meet and see their heroes close up was just the best thing,as i know what it was like when their age.To see the kids smile while getting their pics taken with tade or weiry etc and even getting on the hallowed turf makes it all worthwhile. The players and everyone associated with the club should be proud of themselves for going out of their way to make the kids big or small inc adults happy.THANK YOU _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

I would just like to thank everyone for making todays event possible, it would appear that most involved were in a voluntary capacity. A big pat on the back for all involved.
It was good to see so many families enjoying themselves, looking around the ground, meeting players and all the other things going on over the duration of the event. The duration of the event was spot on, those organising the event were very friendly and welcoming and the weather was superb.

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to the people who were involved in organising the event today. My two sons aged 7 and 4 had a great time and managed to get their new away tops signed by most of the players (and also Jimmy Nic outside the ground). I found the players to be very approachable and it was also great to have a look around the inside of the main stand. Two hours was the right amount of time because I feel that if it had been longer then the kids would have got bored. We will certainly be attending the next one! _________________ Yesterday I woke up sucking a lemon. |
