On Sunday 8th August at 09:00 The Raith Rovers supporters team, Geordie Munrovers will take to the field to play the first of four back to back 90 minute football matches. Anybody who has seen us after 90 minutes will know that this is quite a challenge.
We are doing this with Raith Rovers legend Ronnie Coyle in mind. Ronnie has spent the last year battling Leukaemia. Ronnie is now on the path to recovery now. This lead to Ronnie's emotional half time appearance last season against Ross County. An appearance that really showed the true meaning of club legend.
Ronnie has asked us to pass any money raised onto the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research Charity. Something we are more than happy to do.
Any donations made would be greatly appreciated by Geordie Munrovers, Ronnie Coyle and most importantly Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
Please see the link via our signature to donate for a very worthwhile cause. _________________ No player is bigger than the club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Before the Rovers game today I went to the 200 club at the ground and was talking to a couple of the guys who run the 200 club. They were very interested in the charity event and were telling me about the charity account that they have.
Every year they give money to a charity which is agreed upon by the guys who run the club...and this year they have decided to get behind what we are doing to the tune of £250!!!!!!
Huge thanks to the 200 club and their extremely generous donation!! _________________ “If it doesn’t matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score?” Vince Lombardi |

So to the two Andy´s and everyone involved at the 200 club a massive thank you. A brilliant Gesture. _________________ Follow @roversabroad

Excellent news. I'm fair looking forward to this, however, exhausted isn't quite going to be the word after we're finished |

A huge thank you to everyone.
Unbelieveable effort to play six hours of football in those warm conditions. Ronnie drove back to Glasgow full of admiration - he kept using the word phenomenal to describe all that the Geordie Munrovers achieved today.
It was all another reminder of why the Rovers family is so special. |

Still struggling away today with a couple of niggles, but i'm sure i'll be fine. The wee chit chat by Ronnie at half time of the last game fairly inspired me to go out and give everything I had left to get the win.
A worthy cause, and an event I was honoured to take part in. |
