as i have been doing the quiz in the programme for the past 3 years (i gave them 200 questions at the start of this season but no quiz)if there were enough people who fancied a fun rovers quiz night i would try and do a quiz of 40 to 60 questions about the rovers over the 125 years it would be teams of 4 and say 10 pounds per team hold it possibly in the raith suite it can take 100 people have a raffle teams to donate prizes and try and squeeze a hospitalty package for the winning team.it is not hard to do and i would probably look for a friday night with the team playing away on the saturday an ideal situation would be having players there guesting with the teams.if there are enough people interested i will go ahead and prepare the questions i promise you that only 5% of the questions will be ya h**r sir who the h*ll would ken that.anyway if you think it would be worthwhile and "fun" stick a post on and if there is enough interest i will go ahead with it hopefully before christmas. |

I think this is a fantastic idea with potential to be a great night, but with one fundamental flaw - would it not be better if Raith were at home the following day? Having to nurse a hangover on the way to an away game i.e Peterhead is no fun (I know from personal experience!)
i'm sure you'll get the backing of Fife's Finest for this one mate, PM me if you'd like to discuss any way we can be of help. _________________ NO FOOTBALL FOR FASCISTS |

I really like the idea also. I could get a team together from the football team no bother. _________________ There once was a rapping tomato

the reason that it would be a friday that we are away from home on the saturday is that the raith suite is set up on the friday night for the hospitality on the saturday so if it were to be held at starks it would have to be an away saturday sorry.another idea that i am looking at is nick who owns the harbour bar has his own micro brewery and there is a chance of him doing a 125 celebratory brew.but on a weekend when we are away again to give us friday, saturday, and sunday to involve this in a beer festival,i have had a chat with kirkcaldy's camra committee and they are very keen to help promote this. |

another good idea, perhaps throw something on during the day for the Rovers fans not at the match whilst they watch Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, and for those at the match we could maybe arrange for the Rovers supporters busses to drop off fans there after the match to join in the fun, and have the quiz at night? _________________ NO FOOTBALL FOR FASCISTS |

listen bridie to me have started researching questions and will base the quiz from the 1980's to the present date i am hoping the winning team will get a meal for the 4 of them at a match of their choice and yes there will be four bags of crisps for the team in last position.i would like to throw this in teams that are taking part would you like to donate a prize for a raffle to be held on the night.if there is something you think i have missed please let me know cheers. |

Sorry this has taken so long but was waiting to see what santa would bring me for christmas.Quiz will be hopefully end of Feb venue to be desided but I'll see if George at the Novar is available on a Friday night the quiz will be 60 questions and it will be a minute for each question,we can have a half-time break for oranges.Hopefully there will be a prize for the winning team.K.O about 7.30 pm should be finished by 9.00pm.Teams of up to a maximum of 4 it will be £10 per team all the money going to the Rovers,if anyone has a preference e.g the youth teams or just to the manager post it on here and I will go with the majority. |
