More likely to be confidence which you only get by playing - not sitting watching others brought in to do your job.

Probably true. He's not had much of a run out this season to prove himself to be honest.

I thought Weir was lacklustre in the first Aberdeen game when he came on but on Tuesday night he was in about Aberdeen for the 15 minutes he was on. Chasing them down and getting in the way - exactly what we needed. Well done Graham.

Graham Weir has signed for Brechin, good to see he's found himself a new club so quickly and I wish him all the best up there.

Seconded.....Always liked the wee man. Often thought of him more of an attacking midfielder.

He was never the same after the horrendous injury and also a new father, with all the responsibilities that brings.

Really really hope he does well......if every player gave as much as he did .......they would be lucky......another out of the baird/tade/walker mould.....not afraid of hard work.

Good luck wee man.....He's here, He's there.................

East Fife must be gutted!

Good luck for the future Graeme. Get your finger out.

Very harsh, say what you want about Weir but you can't say he didn't give 100% every time he played for us, his work rate was superb.

Weir was a big player for us in the 2nd division but lets face it, statistically he must be the worst striker in the history of the 1st division.

He wasn't great at first division level, but I'm pretty sure somebody like Herve Ebanda would at least run him close for that award.

Even Ebanda's first division record is better than Weir's! Laughing Laughing

13 games with 1 goal!

Or Hamed Sacko - 19 games, 4 goals

Weir never really got his chance with us in the first division though did he? There's only so much you can do coming off the bench with 5 or 10 minutes left.

I think the only game he actually started for us in recent times was the quarter final at Dundee and he was immense that day.

I think I'm one of the very few people sad to see him go, if Baird leaves he was the ideal replacement in my opinion.

By the way, that day, video replay made his goal onside.

Yeah, a real shame he didn't get the goal his performance that day deserved.

Started at home to Cowden in Challenge Cup, away to Alloa in Scottish Cup and at home to Queen of the South. Was poor on all occasions.

He was a great servant, but the time was right for him to go. Just couldnt cut it in this league. All the best Weiry Smile
