Here's hoping Craigie Broon does a good job with Motherwell.
I'll be cheering them on over the next few weeks. |

Yeah a good job at Motherwell but hope to god doesn't get the Rovers job if McGlynn left. |

Moore has knocked back fulltime offers already (Morton?) I think he'd only go if it was a bigger club that came calling.
If the gaffer did go,
Michael O'Neil is the only decent 2nd Div man I think I've seen (when he was at Brechin). Maybe Cooper at P'head but I don't know.
In the 1st Div only McCall (ex-townie **** but still a decent manager) and Jizim at QOS look decent managers none of which would come to us (Esp McCall). _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 18, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

Are you sure Moore knocked it back?I thought the reason he never got the job although he was interested was because Stirling were asking for too much comp |

Not entirely sure but the personal choice theme to me looks the likelier.
Stirling are in financial dire straights, any money that was being offered would be taken (no matter how little) by a chairman desperate to get out.
At the end of the day just how binding is a managers contract anyway?
The way it appears to be is that if the manager wants to go then he will. Compo is only a mechanism to stop bad blood between clubs who realise that may need each other help in the struggle to survive. _________________ Competitive goals: Vaughan 18, Easton 11, Hamilton 10, Smith 9, Stanton 7, Mullin 4, Connolly 3, O'Reilly 3, Rudden 3, S Brown 1, Dick 1, Gullan 1, Masson 1, Millen 1, Mitchell 1, Murray, Watson 1, OG's 1, |

After a wee search
In October 2009, Moore expressed a strong interest in taking the vacant managers position at former club Greenock Morton, citing the move as an opportunity to work at a full time club. Moore then confirmed that he had been given permission to speak to Morton. However, after Morton approached Albion over the release of Moore, the compensation package of £160k - £180k was too much for Morton chairman Douglas Rae, and the deal was called off.

Don`t agree any money offered no matter how little would have been taken.I think it was more complicated than the Chairman wanting out.Club was up for sale etc |
