There will also be live music on the night to keep the troops entertained, but will wait till things are 100% confirmed before anything is posted
hope to see a good turnout for this |

20 casks, 72 pints per cask.
1, 440 pints - that's just under 100 pints per hour!!!
200 people drinking 7 pints over the two days.
That's not including cider and perry or the German lagers.
It's gonna get messy... |

Did a stint of volunteering last night.
1. Great range of beers and ciders.
2. Music excellent - 4 separate artists
3. Wrap up warmly - it was cold last night - hopefully this afternoon will be a bit warmer.
Well done to all involved in organising - hopefully this could become an annual event. |

Spent a couple of hours at the beer festival last night. What a good time we had. As already mentioned a great selection of ales on offer (stayed away from the ciders - far too strong for me) but what impressed me most was the display of musical talent on offer. The young girl who followed Dennis Alexander was excellent but the young chap who appeared next was a real stand out. His guitar playing was absolutely brilliant and I'm sure he has a real future. (Sorry I can't remember their names)
A great night - good beer - good company - and pies and helping the Rovers - going back today with a couple of friends. |

We've often tried to get a pre-season Open Day at Starks and on the occasions it's been held a lot of good fun ensued. The Supporters' Groups worked well together to make it happen and with a Real Ale Stramash to go along with it, we might be on to something.
But that needs organising and that means, in all probability, the same folk that already give up most of their free time for the club. _________________ It's a Mystery!! |
