Was there for a few hours and it was quite good but the time I was there was just about the most I could stay for without getting bored and going without coming back, the duration will be too much for some. |

Terrific day yesterday, great turnout (somewhere in the region of 800 people crammed in!), great bands, great atmosphere!
Well done to all the bands, the staff at kitty's & DV8 and to everyone who came along and made the event a success.
Photos on the bands, crew and partygoers up on the fife's finest website here
As someone who was in the crew for the day, would just like to add that Mario, Grant and the staff at Kitty's & DV8 was brilliant in the way they treated us and basically gave us their nightclub for the day. |

Another quality Rock the Rovers! I had a great day/night. The only down side for me was te lack of support on the day from the club. It would've been nice to see John McG an some of the players there. I remember Dalziel used to get up and do a bit of a song when he was in charge! |

Glad you enjoyed it romario and the chairman paid us a visit in the afternoon aswell as getting great support from ally gourlay[ex players association],alex condie[ex fans director] plus john rowbotham [ex ref now a raith fan] who all introduced bands on stage.I wasnt happy either when no one from the club came along as i invite them every year but after moaning at the chairman via email he explained the circumstance as to why no one came and i understand. The invitation is there every year for them to come to the gig as the club does benefit from it but i can only give that invitation nothing else.A wee story about daz being there is that at the time we were in process of trying to save the club so all the money made was going to RECLAIM THE ROVERS and not the football club.So because of this the board of directors plus a few others banned anyone from raith going but at the least minute daz appeared.
Stelios said it all in his post about the thank you`s to which all i can say is thank you again to all those who helped organise it,the running of it,playing at it and also the sponsors. For the first time ever the 2 stages were sponsored and they were BACARDI,KINGDOM FM and THE FIFE FREE PRESS which helped our funds.Next years gig has a date already confirmed with the 2 venues plus we may be extending rtr so as to include some pubs but that isnt confirmed as we need to do a lot of talking to those we want involved.Watch this space as regards that plus a junior rock the rovers for under 18s maybe at end of the year beginning of next. _________________ YOULL NEVER WALK ALONE

Care to share the reason why no one from the club turned up?After all its the club thats benifitting from money raised aided by many Rovers fans who paid and turned up on the day. After all the hard work you put in and others you are entitled to feel pretty miffed
Top quality day |
