Excellent a music thread.
Been to a few gigs wont list the festival shows.
green day, blink 182 limp bizkit franz ferdinand arctic monkeys, editors, maximo park, the cribs, the enemy, get cape wear cape fly, the dykeenies, foals and a special mention to the wombats total waste of a night.
Getting tickets nowadays is a pain. remember just trotting down to sleeves when you got paid there were always tickets. Now even the poor bands are selling out. _________________ Follow @roversabroad

Right here goes:
REM, Feeder, Zutons, Muse x2, Radiohead, Blink182, Foo Fighters, Green Day, The Chilli's, Reverand and the makers, Queens of the Stone Age, Electric Six, Starsailor, Hell is for Heroes, N.E.R.D, The Killers, just to name a few.
Also seen Mull Historical Society, Idlewild x 3 and Biffy Clyro x 3.
Got to support the Scots especially Biffy who are amazing live.

I've seen a few bands and enjoyed everyone some a lot better than others and some at the start when we first started out in good old Templehall and the Valley:
Bo Weavils, Sunset Culture, Writing on the Wall, Marmalade, The Poets, ahhh the Tufty Club. The Taste, Rory Gallagher, Third Ear Band, The Stoics, Dream Police, Pathfinders, Stone the Crows - the wonderful nights at the YM!
Gerry & the Pacemakers, Swinging Blue Jeans, Leo Sayer, Moody Blues, Sensational Alex's Harvey Band, The Jam, From the Jam, Paul Weller, Stevie Wonder, Stevie Winwood, Martin Taylor, Tommy Smith, Jon Anderson, Peter Green Splinter Group, Terry Reid Band, The Nice, David Bowie, Blodwin Pig, Ten Years After, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Fleetwood Mac, Canned Heat, the "Raith Show Band", John Martyn, Jack Bruce, Pete Green, Runrig, Wolfstone, Level 42, Madness, Elvis Costello & the Attractions, Blue Nile, Tom Jones (hmmmm), Wet Wet Wet, Eurythmics, The Who, Ocean Colour Scene, Deacon Blue, Manic Street Preachers, UB40, Neil Young, Spencer Davis, The Kinks, John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, Bare Naked Ladies, The Blockheads, plenty of Jazz Bands – try the Fife Youth Jazz Orchestra they are stonking, Finlay Quaye, Bryan Adams, Lights out by Nine, The Elevators, Bryan Adams, Capercallie, Beautiful South, Squeeze, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Paul Young, Joe Jackson and all the others I've forgotten about.
What a gig! |

Nah ma grannie did.
As well as the wonderful YW and the Raith Ballroom, you should have seen the soul dancin', that was cool. Taks me back.
Well done Quinny in resurrecting live music in Kirkcaldy. |

I think this might just take the buiscuit....
i've agreed (while under the influence of alcohol and having the scariest mother in the world ) to go to newcastle with her in november to see Cliff Richard if she in turn pays for us to also go and see ma other team newcastle the same weekend.
The shame of it all. no matter how much i love the toon army (not as much as the rovers obviously) this has to be the stupidest intoxicated thing i've EVER done _________________ "Losing isn't learning to be lost, its learning to know when your lost." |

I have kept all (well almost all) of the tickets from the concerts i have been to, and they number well over 100.
My very first was Howard Jones at the Edinburgh Playhouse in 1985, and my most recent was Public Enemy at the Glasgow ABC a couple of months back.
In between has included -
James x 6
Foo Fighters x 4
Red Hot Chili Peppers x 4
Shed Seven x 7
Feeder x 3
Echo & The Bunnymen x 4 including one in Amsterdam, which was VERY interesting!
Depeche Mode x 3
U2 x 4
Kaiser Chiefs x 3
Kasabian x 4
Keane x 3
The Verve
REM
Charlatans
Primal Scream
Simple Minds x 2
Public Enemy x 4
River Detectives
Silencers
Bluetones (with Supergrass supporting)
Queens Of The Stone Age
Prodigy
Sex Pistols
INXS x 3
Blondie x 2
Sunna
Travis x 3
Sunna
Dead Men Walking
Shamen
I will add others later when i check my tickets again.
There have also been a load of ticketless concerts locally in Kirkcaldy with lights out By Nine the only name sticking in my head, and a fair few concerts in King Tuts that were pay at the door. _________________ We R The RR The RRFC |
